Twelve (12) Hour Shifts. For twelve (12) hour shifts, the rest between shifts will be ten (10) hours; otherwise the commitments in 7.6 shall apply.
Twelve (12) Hour Shifts. (a) On an experimental basis and without committing either party to a permanent change in the existing hours of work, the parties may jointly agree to establish a schedule providing for a compressed work week upon a request from the majority of employees in the work place or upon a request from the Employer.
(b) Employees working a compressed work week (12 hour shift) shall be governed by the procedure in Schedule B of this Agreement.
Twelve (12) Hour Shifts. When a twelve (12) hour shift schedule is utilized, a normal work day shall consist of twelve (12) hours of work. The normal work week shall consist of thirty-six (36) hours within a seven (7) day period. An employee on such schedule shall be compensated at one and one-half times (1 ½ x) his/her regular rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of twelve (12) hours per day or forty (40) hours per work week. Twelve (12) hour day schedules shall be established by mutual consent of the Employer and employee. If a twelve (12) hour schedule is implemented, the Union will be notified.
Twelve (12) Hour Shifts. (a) When an employee on duty is required to attend to a client as an escort and the time involved on a trip exceeds eleven and one-quarter (11 1/4) hours in a day, he/she shall receive time off or pay at his/her option at the applicable overtime rates for all time in excess of eleven and one-quarter (11 1/4) hours which the employee spends with the client or attending to the needs of the client. Any overtime not taken as time off within sixty (60) days of the event giving rise to the overtime shall be paid to the employee.
(b) Subject to Article 30.06, employees traveling to and from an escort duty shall be compensated at the applicable overtime rate for all hours spent traveling outside his/her normal work period. The employee shall receive compensation as time off or pay at his/her option. Any travel time claimed not taken as time off within sixty (60) days of the travel giving rise to the claim shall be paid to the employee.
(c) If an employee is detained following relief of escort duty due to weather or other transportation difficulties, he/she shall not lose his/her day(s) of rest. The time he/she is so detained and the time spent travelling to his/her place of employment, or place of residence, shall be deemed to be time worked to a maximum of eleven and one-quarter (11 1/4) hours at straight time in a twenty-four hour period. Such time worked shall not be used for the purposes of determining eligibility for consecutive work premium.

Twelve (12) Hour Shifts. (A) For classifications/groups who work a rotating "12 Hour Shift" schedule the Parties agree to the following:
(1) If the differences arise from the rotating (12) hour shift schedule covering the amended articles and sections, they will be resolved by a joint Company/Union Committee.
(2) The shift starting time can be adjusted by mutual agreement of the Union and the affected Organization Manager.
(3) A standard day’s work shall consist of twelve (12) hours worked in a workday. A standard four-week rotating schedule will consist of one (1) forty-eight (48) hour, one (1) forty (40) hour and two (2) thirty-six (36) hour workweeks.
(4) During the (40) hour workweek, the employee may choose to work the last four (4) hours or roll-out for the entire twelve (12) hours on the roll-out day. Management must be notified at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance of that shift if the employee chooses to roll-out for the entire twelve (12) hour shift. This advance notice applies only to the designated roll-out day. Management will assign rollout days in advance.
(5) An employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times base hourly rate and at one and one-half (1-1/2) times any applicable shift differential for all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours on weeks where scheduled (48) hours; all hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours on weeks where scheduled (40) hours with optional roll out day; and all hours worked in excess of (36) hours on weeks where scheduled (36) hours.
(6) Shift differential of $0.75 per hour will be paid for all hours worked on a rotating 12- hour shift.
(7) Hours worked on the first day worked other than the scheduled workdays in the workweek will be considered the sixth (6th) day and will be paid at one and one-half (1.5) times base hourly rate, provided that the employee has worked or is credited with at least four hours for each scheduled workday during the workweek. Twelve (12) Hour Shifts. (a) A regular twelve (12) hour shift shall be eleven and one-quarter (11¼) consecutive hours in any twenty-four (24) hour period exclusive of a forty- five (45) minute unpaid lunch period. The employee shall be entitled to paid relief periods during the shift for forty-five (45) minutes.
(b) Not more than three (3) consecutive extended shifts shall be scheduled. When the Employer requires an employee to work a fourth (4th) consecutive shift, premium pay shall be paid for the fourth (4th) shift and subsequent consecutive shifts until a shift has been scheduled off.
