Common use of Trust Indenture Legislation Clause in Contracts

Trust Indenture Legislation. (1) In this Article 12, the term “applicable legislation” means the provisions, if any, of the Trust and Loan Companies Act (Canada) and any other statute of Canada or a province thereof, and of regulations under any such statute, relating to trust indentures and to the rights, duties and obligations of trustees under trust indentures and of entities issuing debt obligations under trust indentures, to the extent that in the opinion of counsel to the Trust such provisions are at the time in force and applicable to this Indenture.
