Trial Period for Promotion or Transfer. The successful applicant shall be notified within (2) two weeks following the end of the posting period. She shall be given a trial period of sixty (60) days, during which time she will receive the necessary orientation for the position. The Employer shall not curtail the trial period without just cause, before it has run its full course. Conditional on satisfactory service, the employee shall be declared permanent after the period of sixty (60) days. In the event the successful applicant proves unsatisfactory in the position during the trial period, or if the employee is unable or unwilling to continue to perform the duties of the new job classification, she shall be returned to her former position, wage or salary rate, without loss of seniority. Any other employee promoted or transferred because of the re-arrangement of positions shall also be returned to her former position, wage or salary rate, without loss of seniority.

Trial Period for Promotion or Transfer. In the case of a promotion or transfer, the successful applicant shall be placed on trial for a period of three months. Conditional on satisfactory service, the employee shall be declared to be in the position after the period. In the event the successful applicant proves unsatisfactory in the position during the trial period, or if the employee is unable to perform the duties of the new job classification, the employee shall be returned to the employee’s former position, wage or salary rate, without loss of seniority. Any other employee promoted or transferred because of the re- arrangement of positions shall also be returned to the employee’s former position, wage or salary rate, without loss of seniority. The return of those employees to their former positions, etc. as aforesaid, shall not be the subject of a grievance. By mutual agreement of both parties the trial period may be extended for a further period of three months. If there is more than one candidate for the original position, it will be offered to the next candidate meeting the requirements of the position.

Any timber that has been removed from Sale Area during the period of this contract, but remains unscaled after Termination Date, shall be Scaled at the earliest rea- sonable date.
