Travel Conditions. (a) Employees required to travel outside the Province shall be reimbursed for receipted expenses incurred in the course of their duties. Receipts shall not be required for expense categories currently paid without receipt within British Columbia. Types and amounts of receipted expenses that will be reimbursed outside the Province will be pre-authorized.

Travel Conditions. The Employer shall consult with the employee whose duties require them to be absent from their headquarters for extended periods, and subject to operational requirements, shall allow the employee to travel at a time convenient to the employee.

Travel Conditions. For pay purposes, employees engaged only in travelling, except as provided for in Article shall be credited with all time consumed when travelling on an assignment of the Company. Such time will be computed: From the time of the employee’s departure, when the employee departs from his home by common carrier. From the assigned hour of departure from his home when an employee travels by automobile direct to the assignment. From the time he leaves his normal place of employment when the employee reports there before proceeding to travel. From the assigned hour of departure from his lodging when an employee is using overnight accommodation. When travelling is on a common carrier between the hours of a.m. and midnight, local time, full time shall be credited up to and only for the first eight (8) hours of travel. PAGE E When travel is on a common carrier between the hours of midnight and a.m., local time, and suitable sleeping facilities are available, no credit shall be allowed. For the purpose of this section, a single occupancy berth or a first class seat on a plane is construed to be suitable sleeping facilities. When travel is designated by the Company on conveyances which do not have sleeping facilities, full time credit shall be allowed. The turn-around provisions of Article will apply from the time an employee completes his travel. Time credited for the return journey under the above conditions will be computed in the same manner. The Company agrees to maintain adequate liability insurance on all vehicles owned and rented by the Company which it requests any employee to drive. When an employee is required to work at a studio or remote location other than his normal place of employment, he shall be credited with all time consumed in transit between such normal place of employment and any other studio or remote location and return. Travel Conditions. When travel is required as part of an employee's assignment, the desires, convenience, and comfort of the employee will be considered. Employees will not be required to travel in Government aircraft or nonscheduled commercial aircraft without their consent, except the travel may be required under certain conditions as provided in Joint Travel Regulations. Any employee required to travel by the Employer will be expected to exercise the same care incurring expenses that a prudent person would exercise when traveling at his/her own expense. Travel time shall, to the maximum extent practicable, be scheduled within an employee's regularly scheduled workweek.
