Transmission Lines Protection. 400kV and 220kV lines shall have Main-I numerical three zone distance protection scheme with carrier aided inter-tripping feature. 400kV and 220kV lines shall also have Main-II numerical distance protection scheme like Main-I but from different make that of Main-I. The Main-I and Main-II protection relays of same make may be provided only if they are ofdifferent hardware & manufacturing platform or different principle of operation. However, Line Current Differential relay (with back up distance protection feature) as Main–I and Main-II shall be considered at both ends for short lines (line length below 30kM) having Fibre Optic communication link. Differential relay at remote end shall be provided by the TSP. Associated power & control cabling and integration with SAS at remote end shall be provided by respective bay owner. In case of 220kV line bays where the line lengths are not indicated, Numerical Distance protection relay as Main–I and Line Current differential relay (with back up distance protection feature) as Main-II shall be provided. Further, in such case, the matching line current differential relay for remote end shall be provided by the remote end bay owner. Further, all 400kV and 220kV lines shall be provided with single and three phase auto- reclosing facility to allow reclosing of circuit breakers in case of transient faults. These lines shall also be provided with distance to fault locators to identify the location of fault on transmission lines. All 400kV lines shall also be provided with two stages over voltage protection. Over voltage protection & distance to fault locator may be provided as in-built feature of Main-I & Main-II protection relays. Auto reclose as built-in function of Bay Control Unit (BCU) is also acceptable. The Main-I and Main-II protection relays shall be fed from separate DC sources and shall be mounted in separate panels. For 400kVand 220kV transmission lines, directional IDMT earth fault relay should be provided as standalone unit or in-built feature of Main-I and Main -II feature.

  • Transmission Facilities The NTO owns certain transmission facilities over which the ISO will have day-to-day operational control to maintain these facilities in a reliable state, as defined by the Reliability Rules and all other applicable reliability rules, standards and criteria, and in accordance with the ISO Tariffs, ISO Related Agreements and ISO Procedures (“ISO Operational Control”). These NTO facilities shall be classified as “NTO Transmission Facilities Under ISO Operational Control,” and are listed in Appendix A-1 of this Agreement. The NTO also will be responsible for providing notification to the ISO with respect to actions related to certain other transmission facilities. These facilities shall be classified as “NTO Transmission Facilities Requiring ISO Notification,” and are listed in Appendix A-2 of this Agreement. Transmission facilities may be added to, or deleted from, the lists of facilities provided in Appendices A-1 and A-2 herein by mutual written agreement of the ISO and the NTO owning and controlling such facilities. Currently listed facilities will be posted on the ISO’s OASIS.

NYISO and Connecting Transmission Owner shall use Reasonable Efforts to minimize the effect of such actions or inactions on the Large Generating Facility or the Developer’s Attachment Facilities. NYISO or Connecting Transmission Owner may, on the basis of technical considerations, require the Large Generating Facility to mitigate an Emergency State by taking actions necessary and limited in scope to remedy the Emergency State, including, but not limited to, directing Developer to shut-down, start-up, increase or decrease the real or reactive power output of the Large Generating Facility; implementing a reduction or disconnection pursuant to Article 13.4.2; directing the Developer to assist with blackstart (if available) or restoration efforts; or altering the outage schedules of the Large Generating Facility and the Developer’s Attachment Facilities. Developer shall comply with all of the NYISO and Connecting Transmission Owner’s operating instructions concerning Large Generating Facility real power and reactive power output within the manufacturer’s design limitations of the Large Generating Facility’s equipment that is in service and physically available for operation at the time, in compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations.

  • Interoffice Transmission Facilities BellSouth shall provide nondiscriminatory access, in accordance with FCC Rule 51.311 and Section 251(c)(3) of the Act, to interoffice transmission facilities on an unbundled basis to <<customer_name>> for the provision of a telecommunications service.
