TRANSITIONAL COMMITTEE. 3. A Transitional Committee was established in Cyprus with responsibility for drawing up plans for adapting and reorganising the Government machinery in preparation for the transfer of authority to the independent Republic. This Transitional Committee has met with the Governor's Executive Council as a Joint Council. Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot members of the Council assumed certain ministerial responsibilities, including chose of bringing forward policy proposals to the Joint Council and carrying out its decisions. The purpose has been to build up a Cabinet system and a system of Ministerial responsibility. During this transitional period, however, the Governor has remained head of the Executive with full legislative powers.

TRANSITIONAL COMMITTEE. All duly elected and appointed members of the Freetown School Committee, the Lakeville School Committee, and the Freetown Lakeville Regional School Committee on the effective date of this Agreement shall serve on the Regional Transitional School Committee for the purpose of implementing a PK-12 regional school system. Upon approval of this agreement by the member towns and the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Regional Transitional Committee shall immediately assume the authority of the Regional School District Committee, including jurisdiction of transportation for all students, PK- 12, until the election and qualification of a permanent committee in accordance with Section 2A or 28. Incumbent elected or appointed members of the Freetown School Committee, the Lakeville School Committee, and the Freetown Lakeville Regional School Committee on the effective date of this Agreement shall hold office until the election and qualification of a permanent Committee, or their sooner retirement, resignation or removal, if applicable. In the event of a vacancy, the Board of Selectmen from the town in which the member vacating the office resided may appoint a person, which may be the same person, to serve until the election of a permanent committee, unless sooner removed.

  • Central      Committee In future central bargaining between Service Employees Union and the participating hospitals, an employee serving on the Union's Central Negotiating Committee shall be paid for time lost from his normal straight time working hours at his regular rate of pay and without loss of leave credits for attending central negotiating meetings with the Hospitals' Central Negotiating Committee in direct negotiations up to the point of arbitration. Upon reference to arbitration, the Negotiating Committee members shall receive unpaid time off for the purpose of attending arbitration hearings. It is understood and agreed that the maximum number of Union Central Negotiating Committee members entitled to payment under this provision shall be eight, and in no case will more than one employee from a hospital be entitled to such payment. The Union shall advise the Hospitals' Central Negotiating Committee, before negotiations commence, of those employees to be paid under this provision. The Hospitals' Central Negotiating Committee shall advise the eight hospitals accordingly. It is understood that this clause does not apply to a hospital that is not participating in Central Bargaining.

  • The Joint Committee 1. A Joint Committee is hereby established in which each Contracting Party shall be represented.

  • Joint Committee 1. The Contracting Parties shall establish a Joint Committee (hereinafter referred to as “the Committee”) with a view to accomplishing the objectives of this Agreement. The functions of the Committee shall be:

  • Consultative Committee 26.1 The parties agree to establish a consultative committee to assist the parties improve productivity, efficiency and to provide for the effective involvement of employees in decision making processes. The committee will consist of an equal number of company and elected employee representatives.

  • Local Negotiating Committee (a) A negotiating committee of four (4) employee representatives appointed by the union including the bargaining unit president.

  • JOINT LABOUR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 18.01 A Joint Labour Management Committee shall be established to attend to those matters which are of mutual interest. To ensure its effectiveness the Committee shall be separate and apart from the grievance procedure.
