Transfers and Removals. The parties acknowledge that the intent of clause 6.6 is that reimbursements will be made for costs in relation to the sale and purchase of the teachers’ primary place of residence and not for holiday homes or investment properties but note that, in giving effect to the intention of the clause, consideration may be given to an individual teacher’s circumstances.

Transfers and Removals. (part 10) The parties have agreed to extend this clause to cover experienced secondary principals who have at least three years continuous service and who move to a school that has both a lower decile and lower U-grade. The parties also agreed to some minor technical changes to ensure that expenses are claimed for houses that are the principal’s nominated principal place of residence, and to align the provisions with current resourcing guidelines that state that a lump sum payment would be payable. The parties agree that the items above, plus the attached collective agreement (subject to any agreed editorial changes) shall form the Terms of Settlement for the Secondary Principals’ Collective Agreement 2011-2013. Other changes therein include defining ‘secondary school’ in clause 1.4, specifying notice requirements for both permanent and fixed term positions in the case of the disestablishment of the principal’s position in clause 8.1 and including the Professional Standards for Secondary Principals.
