TRANSFERRING PERSONAL INFORMATION. OUTSIDE THE EEA We share your personal information within the Remitly Group and to the external third parties (the categories of which are referred to in this Policy). This may involve transferring your personal information outside the DIFC, which includes a transfer to the rest of the UAE and also internationally. Whenever we transfer your personal information out of the EEA, we will ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it. In some instances, your personal information may be transferred to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal information by the DIFC Data Protection Commissioner. In other instances, we will ensure that we use specific contracts approved by the DIFC Data Protection Commissioner which give personal information the same protection it has in the DIFC.

As part of its contract with HHSC Contractor may receive or create sensitive personal information, as section 521.002 of the Business and Commerce Code defines that phrase. Contractor must use appropriate safeguards to protect this sensitive personal information. These safeguards must include maintaining the sensitive personal information in a form that is unusable, unreadable, or indecipherable to unauthorized persons. Contractor may consult the “Guidance to Render Unsecured Protected Health Information Unusable, Unreadable, or Indecipherable to Unauthorized Individuals” issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to determine ways to meet this standard.
