Transfer Opportunities. The parties agree to facilitate the movement of employees to other stores with the interest of providing employees an opportunity to get closer to home. The following process shall be undertaken with the following principles in mind:

Transfer Opportunities. The County shall continue the transfer information system and procedure which shall enable each represented employee to submit a transfer request form which will be used to notify the employee of future vacancies in specific locations and/or shifts and/or client populations.
Transfer Opportunities. Annually, by March 1, the District will electronically post on the Human Resources web page or other digital platform used by the District for job postings of classroom teacher vacancies known to the District at that time. This list will be updated through the end of the school year as changes are known. The posting will include the school site and, the department for intermediate school vacancies.

The County and Union acknowledge that the Career Opportunities Program described in Section 30 and Exhibit F of the 2010 MOU between the parties has become outdated and non-operational. The County and Union desire to restore and update the Career Opportunities Program, with the purpose of providing current County employees with opportunities to promote, transfer, or change careers within the County in a way that is fair, competitive, easily understandable, efficient and appropriate to the County’s needs. The County recognizes that investing in and utilizing talents of its workers will enhance the performance of the organization. Therefore, the County will establish a County-wide Career Development Program (CDP) Committee to evaluate the needs of today’s workplace and employees, and to restore and update the Career Opportunities Program. The CDP Committee will be composed of County and labor representatives, not to exceed two (2) representatives from each participating labor organization and four (4) County representatives. The CDP Committee will begin meeting no later than March 1, 2015, with the goal of drafting a program policy no later than September 1, 2015, and implementing the program no later than March 1, 2016. In redesigning the program, the CDP Committee will address training and development activities to enable employees to improve knowledge, skills and abilities in order to achieve promotional eligibility. In the event the CDP Committee is unsuccessful, the County and Union will meet to discuss appropriate next steps for the CDP.
Transfer Opportunities. The Court Transfer Program permits employees to transfer from one position to another without competitive examination, within their own specific classification at the Court’s discretion and based upon Court business needs. Notice of transfer opportunities will be made courtwide with a minimum period of one week during which employees may express interest. In addition to responding to notices of transfer opportunities when a need arises, employees may notify Human Resources of their interest in transferring to another division during the months of January and July each year by submitting the appropriate form (yet to be created). Names will be placed on a list and the supervisor of the desired division will contact the employee to meet with them to discuss the work of the unit and performance expectations so that the employee is fully apprised of the implications of a transfer in the future. Efforts will be made to allow the interested employee time to shadow an employee of the new division at the discretion of both the current and prospective supervisors.

When a new position is created or an existing position becomes vacant, the District may first offer the opportunity to transfer to District employees serving in the same class. If more than one employee is equally qualified and acceptable to fill the vacancy, the employee with the greatest seniority shall be chosen.   • Job Opportunities Section 1: Temporary Assignments Unforeseen circumstances may arise on a shift, which would require an Employee to be temporarily assigned to work other than that he would normally perform. Should such circumstances arise, the Company shall first canvass for volunteers from those employees who are able to perform the work. Should there be more volunteers than are needed, the Company shall assign the work to the volunteer with the highest seniority. Should there be no volunteers; the Company shall assign the work to the lowest seniority employee able to perform the work. Temporary Assignments may be filled according to the process set out in this Article for a period of up to forty-five (45) days. Thereafter, the Temporary Assignment will be posted on a plant wide basis and made available to the most senior employee able to perform the work. In the event that the Temporary Assignment is going to exceed forty-five (45) days, and this fact is known at the time the vacancy first becomes available, the Company will post the Temporary Assignment in accordance with Section 2 at the time the Temporary Assignment first becomes available. If an Employee is temporarily required to fill a higher paid job, the Employee will receive the higher rate of pay for all hours spent performing the job, if he or she performs the job in excess of two (2) hours per shift. If an Employee is temporarily required to fill a lower paid job, his or her rate of pay shall not be reduced. In the event additional temporary assignments are required, the job will be filled in accordance with the process provided above. Subsequent to the completion of a Temporary Assignment, an Employee will be returned to his or her previous position, subject to seniority considerations.

  • Promotional Opportunities Each university shall promote upward mobility of employees by announcing opportunities as they occur. In all cases, it is the employee’s responsibility to make proper application for such positions. If an employee meets the minimum and special qualifications for a position, he/she will be considered.
