Transfer of Service and Seniority. Effective October 10, 1986, and for employees who transfer subsequent to October 10, 1986, an employee whose status is changed from full-time to part- time shall receive credit for her full service and seniority.

Employees hired prior to October will be credited with the service and seniority they held under the Collective Agreement expiring November Loss of Seniority An shall lose all seniority and shall be deemed terminated if: employee quits: employee is discharged and the discharge is not reversed through the grievance and arbitration proce- dure; employee is absent from scheduled work for a period of three or more consecutive working days without notifying the Hospital of such absence and providing a reason satisfactory to the Hospital; employee fails to return to work upon the expiration of a leave of absence or utilizes a leave of absence for a purpose other than that for which it was granted ; employee has been laid off for eighteen (18) months; employee fails upon being notified of a recall to signify his intention to return within five working days after he has received the notice of recall, and fails to report to work within ten working days after he has received the notice of recall: employee is absent due to illness or disability which absence continues for twenty-four calendar months from the time the or illness commenced.
