Common use of Transfer of Ownership Clause in Contracts

Transfer of Ownership. The Owner may transfer the ownership of this contract. Written proof of transfer satisfactory to the Company must be received at its Home Office. The transfer will then take effect as of the date it was signed. The Company may require that the contract be sent to it for endorsement to show the transfer. The Company will not be responsible to a transferee Owner for any payment or other action taken by the Company before receipt of the proof of transfer at its Home Office.
