Transfer of Leave Credits. Covered employees may transfer leave credits from sick leave to vacation or vice versa under the following conditions: No other leave balances may be used for transfer. The transfer may not exceed one complete block of 80 hours per fiscal year per employee. The transfer can be from one balance to the other in one block and in either direction per fiscal year. The cap on either balance may not be exceeded with the transfer of credits. A transfer will only be allowed if the employee still has a minimum balance of 40 hours in the “from” leave type after the transfer has taken place.

Transfer of Leave Credits. A. Upon request of an employee and upon approval of a department director or designee, leave credits (CTO, personal leave, annual leave, vacation, and/or holiday credit) shall be transferred between family members, in accordance with departmental procedures, for issues relating to Family Medical Leave Act, Pregnancy Disability Leave, parental leave or adoption leave as indicated in the relevant articles of this agreement. Donations may be made by a child, step child, adopted child, parent, spouse, domestic partner that has been defined and certified with the Secretary of State’s office in accordance with Family Code section 297, brother, sister, or other person residing in the immediate household.

Transfer of Leave Credits. Upon request of an employee and upon approval of the District Administrator, or designee, Personal Time Leave credits can be transferred from one or more employees to another employee when the receiving employee faces financial hardship due to injury or the prolonged illness of the employee, employee’s child, step-child, adopted child, parent, spouse, domestic partner who has been defined and certified with the Secretary of State’s office in accordance with the Family Code Section 297, spouse’s or domestic partner’s parent, brother, sister, or other person residing in the immediate household.   • Vacation Leave Credits ‌ Full-time and part-time employees will be credited with vacation leave accrued monthly, according to the rate schedule and vacation leave accrual below.

  • Accumulation of Vacation Leave Credits 31.1.1 An employee shall earn in respect of each fiscal year, annual vacation leave with pay at the following rates for each calendar month in which the employee receives at least seventy-five (75) hours’ pay:

  • Accumulation of Leave ESL is cumulative to a maximum of thirty (30) working days (240 hours), after which time no additional leave may be earned until the leave balance is reduced through use of leave hours. An employee cannot have more than 240 hours of ESL credit in the bank at any time. The maximum ESL balance shall be pro-rated for employees who regularly work less than forty (40) hours per week.

  • Accrual of Leave (a) An employee’s entitlement to paid recreation leave accrues progressively during a year of service according to the employee’s ordinary hours of work.

  • Purpose of Leave Unpaid leave may be granted for any of the following reasons:

  • Termination of Leave Interruption of pregnancy will terminate the leave. Human Resources may require in such cases forty-five (45) days notice to return.

  • Child Rearing Leave 7.9.1 A permanent employee, who is the natural or adoptive parent of a child, shall be entitled to an unpaid leave of absence for the purpose of rearing his/her child for a specified period immediately after convalescence from maternity or immediately after completion of appropriate adoption papers. Such leave shall be for a maximum period of nine (9) months and shall be granted upon giving the District at least four (4) weeks notice prior to the anticipated date on which the leave is to commence.

  • Parental Leave/Adoption Leave An employee will be granted unpaid parental leave for a period up to and including thirty-five (35) weeks, upon request and verification of:

  • Childrearing Leave 1. Any teacher who has acquired tenure and is expecting a child, or whose spouse is expecting a child, or who has documented plans in the immediate future to adopt or xxxxxx a child of preschool age or a preteen child with special needs or who is non-English speaking, may be granted a long-term leave without pay for child-rearing purposes up to two (2) full semesters or a reasonably requested portion thereof within the same school year.

  • Number of Leaves 12.5.4.1 Annually, an amount equal to 0.6% of the total expenditure listed in the official budget under Certificated Salaries, Monthly Teaching and Variable Teaching + $100,000 shall be budgeted for sabbatical leaves for the life of the contract.
