Transcribing Premium. An employee in an eligible class who is regularly assigned and certified by the appointing authority as working more than fifty percent (50%) of his/her time, or who is assigned more than forty (40) hours in any one biweekly pay period, to transcribe from mechanical dictating equipment on a continuous basis, shall be paid an hourly premium of thirty-seven and one-half cents ($0.375). This premium shall apply to time worked and shall not apply toward paid time off or to terminal payoff. Eligible Classes: 2700 – Office Assistant (CL) 2729 – Office Support Specialist (CL) 2730 – Senior Office Assistant (MM) Section 13. Work Location Premiums Work premiums designated as bonus rates and which are stated as a percentage, shall be added to the employee’s basic hourly rate of compensation. When more than one premium is applicable, each premium shall separately be added to the employee’s basic hourly rate. Premiums shall not be pyramided or compounded. Work premiums designated as biweekly dollar amounts shall be added in a lump sum to the employee’s biweekly compensation without regard for the employee’s basic hourly rate.

  • Bilingual Premium The appointing authority may require a qualified employee to perform bilingual duties in positions which have been identified and designated as requiring such bilingual skills. In order to ensure an adequate level of bilingual proficiency, the Director, Department of Human Resources may require periodic evaluation of incumbents receiving bilingual premium.

  • Training Premium Qualified Operators selected by the Employer to train new Operators shall be paid a training premium of 40¢ per hour while engaged in training work.

  • Lead Hand Premium The Lead Hand premium shall be one dollar and fifty cents ($1.50) per hour for employees so appointed and the Company retains sole discretion to appoint, maintain or delete the use of lead hands.

  • Short Changeover Premium (a) If shifts are scheduled so that there are not twenty-four (24) hours between the start of an employee's shift and the start of his/her next shift, a premium calculated at the overtime rates will be paid for hours worked on the succeeding shift within the twenty-four (24) hour period.

  • Pregnancy/Birth Allowance (a) A Nurse entitled to pregnancy leave under the provisions of this Agreement, who provides the Employer with proof that she has applied for, and is eligible to receive employment insurance (E.I.) benefits pursuant to Section 22, Employment Insurance Act, S.C. 1996, c.23, shall be paid an allowance in accordance with the Supplementary Employment Benefit (S.E.B.).

  • Progressive Payment For Property in which there is / are outstanding progressive payment(s) due to the Developer:-

  • Safety Boot Allowance ‌ Effective January 1, 2022, except for temporary and probationary employees, the Employer agrees to pay one hundred and eighty-five dollars ($185.00) in January of each year towards the cost of safety boots for each full time employee requiring them and one hundred ($100.00) dollars for each part time employee requiring them under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and/or by the Employer, provided the Employee is not eligible for safety footwear through the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board.

  • Bilingual Differential When formally assigned in the employee’s position description, an employee assigned to interpret to or from another language to English will receive a differential of five percent (5%) of base pay.

  • Certification Premium Nurses certified in a specialty area by a national organization and working in that area of certification shall be paid a premium of one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per hour, provided that the nurse continues to meet all educational and other requirements to keep the certification current and in good standing.

  • Overtime Premium Pay Time and one-half (1 1/2) the employee's straight time rate of pay shall be paid for all hours actually worked in excess of forty (40) hours in any one workweek.
