Training Officers. During the practical training period there shall be one or more skilled workers, or people with equivalent qualifications, linked to the trainee in the capacity of training officer. This training officer will make sure that the trainee is trained in accordance with the rules for the placement and the trainee’s training plan. It is recommended that the training officer have the requisite qualifications for supervising the training of trainees. These can, if necessary, be gained by attending the coaching course or similar courses designed by the parties.

Training Officers. An employee assigned to be a Field Training Officer (FTO) or Communication Training Officer (CTO) shall receive pay for one and one half (1.5) hours at a premium rate of one and one-half times their base rate of pay, including any differential, for each day worked as a training officer. The hours of pay do not count towards hours worked for the purposes of calculating overtime.

Training Officers. Certified instructors shall conduct all instruction and testing of Contract personnel. A state or national level recognized institution certification of instructors is mandatory unless otherwise approved in writing by the COTR. Certification of instructors may be established by documentation of past ‘experience in teaching positions or by successful completion of a course of training for qualifying personnel as instructors. The COTR must approve the instructor prior to any training.

Training Officers. Only police assigned to the Patrol Division are eligible for assignment as Training Officers. Further, in order to qualify for said assignment, an officer must have achieved the pay status of Patrol Officer 1st Grade or must have completed five (5) years of service with the Linden Police Department, whichever comes first. Not less than four (4) nor more than six (6) officers shall be assigned to this position. They shall receive additional compensation, annually, over their base salary in the amount of six hundred ($600) dollars.

  • Field Training Officers The position of Field Training Officer (FTO) shall be held by a Trooper or Sergeant who most closely meets the requirements set forth by the Employer which are outlined in policy OSP-501.08. If the Employer determines there are an insufficient number of qualified volunteers, it may appoint other individuals to be FTOs. The District Commander shall make the final selections. A supplement of eight hundred dollars ($800.00) shall be given to all FTOs for the sixty (60) working day training period. This amount will be prorated in instances where the training period is cut short or lengthened. Field Training Officers and their trainees will be required to work twenty (20) days on each of the three shifts during the training period.

  • Field Training Officer When a Public Safety Officer has been designated as a Field Training Officer for a new employee he/she will receive a five percent (5%) increase for all the hours they provide direct training/instruction.

  • Contractor Personnel Contractor's staff is expected to present a professional appearance. All personnel of the Contractor will be neat, well groomed, properly uniformed in industry standard uniforms and are expected to conduct themselves at all times in a responsible and courteous manner while performing any work under this Agreement and/or whenever they are on District property.
