Training Officer Pay. An employee assigned by the Sheriff or his/her designee as a training officer shall receive an additional two and one-half percent (2.5%) on an hour for hour basis for those hours actually assigned and performing the duties of a training officer.‌
Training Officer Pay. 7.10.1 Employees at the rank of Sergeant or below are eligible to receive training officer pay when all of the following conditions are met: A. The employee assigned as training officer must be certified by the Sheriff to have met standards for training officer formally established by the Sheriff; and B. The Sheriff has formally established standards which the employee receiving training must meet during the training period; and C. The employee has been assigned by the Sheriff or his/her designee to serve as training officer for a particular employee and is actually performing training officer duties. 7.10.2 Those employees assigned in writing by the Sheriff as training officers who are eligible for training officer pay will be paid an additional two dollars ($2.00) per hour for each eligible hour. 7.10.3 This section shall not be interpreted to restrict the Sheriff’s authority to make any training assignment for which compensation is not required by this section.
Training Officer Pay. Personnel assigned to either the Field Training Officer, Jail Training Officer or Bailiff Training Officer, Airport Training Officer, or Booking Training Officer shall receive .2 hours of compensatory time for each one (1) hour period served as a Field Training Officer, Jail Training Officer or Bailiff Training Officer, Airport Training Officer, or Booking Training Officer.
Training Officer Pay. Any Security Gate or Security Patrol Officer specifically designated by the District as a "Training Officer" shall receive an additional five percent (5%) above their base pay while training new Security employees.
Training Officer Pay. Effective January 1, 2005, employees who are formally designated to act as a Training Officer, actually supervising a trainee, and doing so for no less than 50% of the Training Officer’s regularly scheduled shift, will earn one and one-half (1 ½) hours of pay for each shift served as a Training Officer. This pay will have no limiting effect on the receipt of overtime by the training employee when overtime is authorized by the supervisor.

Training Officer Pay. Certified Training Officer (CTO) pay will be granted to those emergency communication dispatchers who have passed APCO (Association of Public Communications Officers) certification requirements and have been designated by the City as a training officer. CTO pay shall be One Dollar ($1.00) per hour added to the employee’s regular rate of pay for all actual hours worked but will not be applied to paid leave benefits (e.g., vacation, sick leave, holiday). CTO pay shall be discontinued in the event the employee loses certification and/or performance as a designated training officer does not meet expectations.
Training Officer Pay. The City agrees to pay a maximum of six (6) police officers, who are designated as Field Training Officers, 5% of the employee's actual base salary per month. The parties agree that to the extent permitted by law, Training Officer Pay is special compensation as defined by CalPERS regulations and shall be reported as such to CalPERS pursuant to Title 2 CCR, Section 571(a)(4) as Training Premium.

ARTICLE 154 - STATION ONE CAPTAIN INCENTIVE PAYFire Captains regularly assigned to Station One shall receive $57.69 bi-weekly pay incentive, to compensate for the additional Station One workload. Employees are eligible for this incentive the first full pay period following eligibility. ARTICLE 165 - BILINGUAL PAY Employees , with the exception of Battalion Chiefs, certified as bilingual in Spanish through the a testing process administered through the Human Resources Department and certified as being required to regularly use their Spanish speaking skills shall receive a bilingual payment of $35 per pay period. Additional languages that qualify for this incentive may be approved by the City based upon demonstrated need. Employees are eligible for this incentive the first full pay period following qualification. Regardless of certification, all employees shall use any language skills they possess to the best of their ability. ARTICLE 176 - HAZARDOUS MATERIALS INCENTIVE PAY EmployeesSafety employees, with the exception of Battalion Chiefs, certified as Hazardous Materials (Haz Mat) Specialists or Technicians and assigned to the Haz Mat Team by the Fire Chief, must meet minimum qualifications and training standards established by the County coordinating agency. Employees assigned to the Haz Mat TeamSafety employees meeting this eligibility criteria shall receive incentive pay equal to four percent (4%) of the top step Firefighter base salary effective the first full pay period following assignment. Employees who do not meet minimum qualifications and established training standards, as verified by the County’s quarterly reporting process, will not be eligible to participate in the County Haz Mat Team and will not be eligible for the incentive until such time as they meet minimum qualifications and established training standards.
