Trainer Pay. When an employee is assigned to train and/or orient a new or existing employee, they must meet all the requirements listed below. They will receive an additional one dollar fifty ($1.50) per hour for all hours spent training/orienting. The department manager will assist in the establishment of appropriate assignments. Be approved by his or her manager; Have completed the introductory period; Have completed the required competencies for the position; Be an employee in good standing; Be evaluated on trainer performance; and Provide verbal or written feedback (e.g. competency check-off and trainee evaluation sheets) to work place partners and managers.

Trainer Pay. Employees who complete DPSST certification as trainers shall receive $50.00 per week during periods in which they are appointed and authorized as designated trainers of other full time employees for a specific period as designated by management.
Trainer Pay. Trainer Pay only applies when a supervisor has authorized the pay premium and is only intended to be for work that is outside of the scope of the employee’s regularly scheduled duties. Employees assigned and scheduled to train or retrain an existing employee shall be paid an amount equal to three percent (3%) of their base for each hour worked as a trainer up to ten (10) consecutive working days. Thereafter the employee will be compensated trainer pay for the entire month. Trainer pay does not apply to orientations, tours, or working with interns.

Trainer Pay. When selected for instructor duty such mass transit operator will be paid an additional Seventy-Five Cents (75¢) per hour upon the proper completion and submission to the Employer of evaluation reports of the student’s ability. Operator Instructor Pay. When selected for instructor duty, such mass transit operator will be paid an additional One Dollar and Twenty-Five Cents ($1.25) per hour upon the proper completion and submission to the Employer of evaluation reports of the student’s ability.

Trainer Pay. Effective upon ratification of this Agreement, an employee assigned the responsibility of training another employee or volunteer shall receive in addition to his/her regular hourly rate of pay an additional one dollar seventy-five cents ($1.75) per hour for each hour the employee is assigned trainer responsibilities (which includes preparation/evaluation time approved by the Employer). An employee who is assigned intermittent training duties shall complete time records indicating which hours were spent primarily in training duties. An employee who is assigned a regular schedule of training duties shall be paid at the training rate for all hours compensated during that period. Training of another employee shall be considered as part of a Lead Police Support Specialist, Lead Police Data Quality Specialist, Police Data Analyst, Police Crime Analyst, and Police Forensic Technician classification duties. If any of these classifications are assigned the responsibility of training another employee they shall not receive trainer pay.
