Traffic Studies. 1. Perform or cause to be performed a traffic analysis to determine the required roadway section for Lovers Lane i.e. major collector or minor collector according to the City’s Master Thoroughfare Plan. The traffic analysis will include the following tasks. Task 1: Data Collection & Coordination a. Collect peak hour (6:30‐8:30 am and 4:30‐6:30 pm) turning movement counts at the following study intersection: • U.S. 80 westbound frontage road at Lovers Lane
Traffic Studies. SMG shall prepare an annual study of and report on traffic congestion associated with the Greek Theatre and Xxxxxxxx Observatory that reviews best practices, necessary capital improvements, successful measures, and required refinement and recommendations. The annual traffic study and report shall be completed by traffic engineering firms experienced in the study of neighborhoods impacted by congestion of local streets. The annual traffic report shall be done in consultation with all interested public stakeholders, Council District 4 (CD 4), and RAP staff. The final traffic study and report shall be presented annually to the community through an organized community meeting involving CD 4, RAP and neighborhood stakeholders. SMG agrees that the annual traffic studies, and related costs, are non-reimbursable expenses.
Traffic Studies. Between six (6) and twenty-four (24) months following completion of the RL 1 Project, IPTC shall engage the services of a qualified traffic engineer acceptable to DPW to perform a study on the impacts to traffic and traffic patterns resulting from operation of Phase 1 of the Red Line, which study shall include recommendations for traffic control measures that should be implemented to minimize any negative effects on traffic, as determined by the study. IPTC shall share the findings and recommendations of the study with DPW. In the event that DPW determines that additional traffic control measures or other improvements are required to minimize any negative impacts to traffic as borne out by the study, then DPW shall determine the reasonable costs of instituting such measures or making such improvements (including design, construction, installation, and inspection of such measures and improvements) and share that information with IPTC. IPTC and DPW shall thereafter cooperatively discuss the need for, extent of and financing for the implementation of such measures or improvements.
