Traffic Control. The Surveyor shall control traffic in and near surveying operations adequately to comply with provisions of the latest edition of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices – Part VI which can be found on the State’s internet site. In the event field crew personnel must divert traffic or close traveled lanes, a Traffic Control Plan based upon principles outlined in the latest edition of the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices – Part VI shall be prepared by the Surveyor and approved by the State prior to commencement of field work. A copy of the approved plan shall be in the possession of field crew personnel on the job site at all times and shall be made available to the State’s personnel for inspection upon request.
Traffic Control. The plans shall provide for handling traffic with signs, signal and marking in accordance with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
Traffic Control. The Engineer shall provide all planning, labor, and equipment to develop and to execute each Traffic Control Plan (TCP) needed by the Engineer to perform services under each Work Authorization. The Engineer shall comply with the requirements of the most recent edition of the TMUTCD. The Engineer shall submit a copy of each TCP to the State for approval prior commencing any work on any State roadway. The Engineer shall provide all signs, flags, and safety equipment needed to execute the approved TCP. The Engineer shall notify the State in writing twenty-four (24) hours in advance of executing each TCP requiring a lane closure, and shall have received written concurrence from the State prior to beginning the lane closure. The Engineer’s field crew shall possess a copy of the approved TCP on the job site at all times and shall make the TCP available to the State for inspection upon request. The Engineer shall assign charges for any required traffic control to the applicable function code.
Traffic Control. The Grantee will provide all traffic control necessary to assure the safe movement of traffic during construction.
Traffic Control. Contractor shall conduct its operations in a manner which will minimize traffic congestion during A. M. and P. M. peak-hour traffic. This may require beginning work after the A. M. peak-hour traffic and ending work before the P. M. peak-hour traffic.
Traffic Control. Traffic Control. Contractor shall conduct operations so as to minimize obstructing traffic flow on campus. MUTCD certified traffic control personnel shall be engaged and paid by the contractor at any time the work [including material delivery or debris removal] is anticipated or scheduled to impede traffic for more than five [5] minutes or as required by the Owner. MUTCD personnel are required to display their credentials with a photo ID. on a lanyard around their neck and a copy of the MUTCD credentials and ID. shall be submitted to the Owner for review and verification the day before MUTCD certified traffic control personnel are required. In addition, GT Police shall be engaged and paid by the contractor at the rate of $40.00 per hour when any work is occurring within 100’ of an intersections and at any time MUTDC certified traffic control personnel are required.
Traffic Control. The Contractor shall furnish all flagging and maintain all temporary traffic control signs and devices necessary to control traffic during construction operations at all locations. Traffic control plans and traffic control signs and devices shall conform to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices as adopted by the State of Washington, and shall be approved in advance by the City. Unless provided for specifically in the contract, no additional compensation will be made for traffic control.
Traffic Control. On this Contract, Traffic Control is the responsibility of the Contractor and all costs associated with the provision of Traffic Control shall be included in the Contract unit prices. Traffic Control, in accordance with the latest edition of the Department's Standard Specification, is required for the Contractor to complete all work under this Contract in a safe manner for the travelling public and for all personnel on the work site. Traffic control is the responsibility of the Contractor and shall be carried out in accordance with the latest edition of the Department's "Temporary Workplace Traffic Control Manual" which takes precedence over the Standard Specification with regard to signing and traffic control procedures. Contractors are advised that a revised version of the Department’s “Temporary Workplace Traffic Control Manual – 2009” was published with an effective date of June 1, 2012. Prior to commencement of any work, the Contractor shall supply an acceptable Traffic Control Plan which will clearly illustrate the layout and procedures to be followed. Traffic Control Signs identified as "TC Signs and Regulatory Signs" in the latest edition of the Department's "Temporary Workplace Traffic Control Manual", as required, shall be supplied, installed and maintained by the Contractor. "Minister - Project Signs" and “Joint Federal Provincial Signs” be supplied by the Department, shall be installed and maintained by the Contractor. Traffic Control Signs required but not identified as "TC Signs or Regulatory Signs" in the latest edition of the Department's "Temporary Workplace Traffic Control Manual" will be supplied by the Department, and shall be installed and maintained by the Contractor. Signs supplied by the Department, not returned by the Contractor at completion of the Project, will be charged to the Contractor at 100% of their replacement cost. The Contractor is advised that lane closures are not permitted beyond day time hours as defined in Liquidated Damages Paragraph 2.0 - Hours of Work, of these Contract Documents.
