Common use of TRADING TIME Clause in Contracts

TRADING TIME. An employee will be permitted to trade shifts or days off with another qualified employee within the same classification provided that the trade does not result in the payment of overtime or interfere with the orderly operations of the City. Three (3) days advance written notice of the trade will be provided to the City, except in cases of unforeseen emergency where the three (3) day notice period may be waived by the City. Trades will not involve more than two (2) employees and no additional trades will be permitted until the original trade is repaid. All trades must be repaid within the same pay period.
