Total Blindness. Total, permanent and irreversible loss of all vision (visual acuity of less than 6/60 in the better eye even with the use of visual aids) in both eyes as a result of illness or accident. This diagnosis must be confirmed by a Consultant Ophthalmologist. The blindness must not be correctable by aides or surgical procedures. To establish permanent loss of vision, total loss of vision should normally need to have persisted for at least six consecutive months.

Total Blindness. If within the Operative Time an Insured Person sustains Bodily Injury resulting in total Loss of Sight in both eyes the Company shall pay a benefit to the Insured for the benefit of the Insured Person in accordance with the Sum Insured shown in the Personal Accident Specification. The Sum Insured for Total Blindness is payable in addition to the Core Benefits Sum Insured.

Over time advances in medical science change the manner in which diseases are diagnosed and in some cases the seriousness of some diseases. The Company therefore reserves the right to change the definitions of Critical Illness and to add or delete illnesses in order to maintain their relevance and importance subject to prior approve all form Insurance Regulator and Development Authority.

  • Staff-to-Youth Ratio Requirement For all group activities the AGENCY shall abide by the staff-to-youth ratio range that is between the ratio established by its written policy and procedures and the ratio stated in Section 402.305(4), Florida Statutes.   • STATEWIDE ACHIEVEMENT TESTING When CONTRACTOR is an NPS, per implementation of Senate Bill 484, CONTRACTOR shall administer all Statewide assessments within the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (“CAASP”), Desired Results Developmental Profile (“DRDP”), California Alternative Assessment (“CAA”), achievement and abilities tests (using LEA-authorized assessment instruments), the Fitness Gram with the exception of the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (“ELPAC”) to be completed by the LEA, and as appropriate to the student, and mandated by XXX xxxxxxxx to LEA and state and federal guidelines. CONTRACTOR is subject to the alternative accountability system developed pursuant to Education Code section 52052, in the same manner as public schools. Each LEA student placed with CONTRACTOR by the LEA shall be tested by qualified staff of CONTRACTOR in accordance with that accountability program. XXX shall provide test administration training to CONTRACTOR’S qualified staff. CONTRACTOR shall attend LEA test training and comply with completion of all coding requirements as required by XXX.
