The company shall furnish employees all tools, equipment, furniture, goggles, rubber boots, aprons, hard hats, masks, respirators, ear protective devices and specialized protective clothing items when necessary for the safe performance of their duties. When such items are furnished, employees will be required to use them in accordance with the Company's instructions.

TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. 27.01 Each employee shall provide such clothing as are necessary to perform the work associated with his/her classification. The Corporation will replace such clothing at no cost to the employee when working under abnormal conditions whereby his/her clothing has been destroyed or rendered unfit for further use, providing the employee has taken all the necessary precautions under the Corporation's safety standards and regulations and was wearing the necessary protective clothing issued by the Corporation under Article 27. However, the Corporation shall issue protective clothing and equipment (to corporate standard where applicable) which it deems to be of a specialized nature in accordance with the following:

  • Protective Clothing & Equipment While not being part of any issue of protective clothing/equipment, the company shall be required to provide the following protective equipment (SAA approved) for use, when necessary, by employees during the performance of their required duties:

  • Uniforms and Protective Clothing 28.1 Where the employer requires an employee to wear a uniform, it shall be provided free of charge, but shall remain the property of the employer.

  • Protective Clothing and Equipment The Employer recognizes the safety concerns of all staff and shall provide all employees whose work requires them to wear protective equipment with the necessary equipment and protective clothing. This committee may make recommendations on such equipment (e.g., gloves, long sleeved gowns, masks, goggles). These shall be maintained and replaced, where necessary, at the Employer's expense. Where the committee recommends the wearing of such protective clothing and equipment, and the Employer implements such recommendation, employees are obligated to comply with such recommendation(s).

  • Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment The Government considers operators as fireline personnel who will use and wear specified articles of personal protective equipment.

  • Personal Protective Clothing 11.1 On commencement of employment with the Employer each employee will be issued with the following; • Two pairs of overalls or agreed alternative such as two shirts and two pairs of pants or jeans. • One pair of approved safety boots to the value of $75.00 increasing to a value of $80.00 from 1 July 2006, increasing to a value of $85.00 from 1 July 2009. • One bluey jacket or agreed equivalent (May to October). Said equipment shall remain the property of the Employer. Any worn out safety equipment will be replaced by the Employer upon presentation of the worn equipment.   • Personnel Equipment and Material Engineer shall furnish and maintain, at its own expense, quarters for the performance of all Engineering Services, and adequate and sufficient personnel and equipment to perform the Engineering Services as required. All employees of Engineer shall have such knowledge and experience as will enable them to perform the duties assigned to them. Any employee of Engineer who, in the reasonable opinion of County, is incompetent or whose conduct becomes detrimental to the Engineering Services shall immediately be removed from association with the Project when so instructed by County. Engineer certifies that it presently has adequate qualified personnel in its employment for performance of the Engineering Services required under this Contract, or will obtain such personnel from sources other than County. Engineer may not change the Project Manager without prior written consent of County.

Such tools and equipment will remain the property of the Employer and the employees will be required to take reasonable care of this property and may be required to sign out certain equipment and tools.
