Tools Allowance. Transportation personnel who are to bring their own tools, shall receive replacement tools in an amount up to $500 per tool for all tools broken in the performance of District assigned and authorized work. The maximum annual amount of funds available per year shall be $10,000.
Tools Allowance. The hourly rates for tradespersons specified in Appendix 2 include allowances for the requirement of Employees to purchase and maintain tools in an efficient working order in accordance with the list provided in Appendix 5.

The District will reimburse the employee within thirty (30) days following submission of the proper documentation. Tools Allowance. 33.01 Trades employees, machine checkers, secondary setter, apprentices and inspectors as a condition of employment will be required to provide their own tools of the trade. The Company and the Union will mutually agree whether the tool will be Company or employee supplied, based on recommendations from Training Committee.
Tools Allowance. Employees who are employed as an apprentice are normally entitled to a tools allowance of $600 after 6 months or $800 after 7 months depending upon the calling of the Employee. The Employer will provide apprentices with tools to the value of their allowance at the time the allowance is due. The Employer may provide additional tools to Employees in order to ensure operational efficiency. These tools may include specialist tools. The parties agree that tools provided over and above the agreed tools allowance entitlement remain the property of the employer. The Employee agrees to ensure that all tools in their care will be kept and maintained in good condition, subject to fair wear and tear, in order to provide the operational efficiency. The Employee agrees that any tools provided over and above the agreed tools allowance entitlement will be returned to the employer upon resignation or termination. The employee undertakes to accept an invoice for the cost of the tools upon appointment and to pay any outstanding amount to the Employer, which will be equal to (the initial value of all tools recorded as being issued to the Employee) less (the initial value of all tools returned by the Employee at resignation or termination).
Tools Allowance. The Employer proposes to provide bargaining unit employees in the Maintenance Department with a fifty dollars ($50) tool allowance every two (2) years. The first such tool allowance payment shall be after the completion of one (1) year of continuous employment in the maintenance department.
