Tool Replacement Allowance. 1. The City shall provide a tool replacement fund for the replacement of worn out or broken shop tools and the purchase of new shop tools as needed. This allowance will be available to those employees in classifications which are required as a condition of employment to provide their own shop tools for the performance of their duties within City service. The utilization of this fund shall not exceed $300.00 per employee for any fiscal year. All shop tools purchased and reimbursed under this provision shall be maintained by the employee so as to be immediately available for City work.

Tool Replacement Allowance. This article applies only to Equipment Mechanics, who are required to provide their own tools on the job as a condition of employment. Essential required tools and tool boxes will be replaced by the City in kind if they are lost due to fire, burglary or robbery of the City facility or some other catastrophe or accident not due to the employee's fault or negligence. An inventory of all employees’ tools will be taken by the Public Works Director or his/her designee at least once a year to ensure that the employee has all essential tools on hand. A tool replacement allowance of $30 per pay period will be paid to the above positions to maintain the essential tools inventory. Failure to maintain the essential tools inventory shall result on loss of tool replacement allowance until such inventory is satisfied. The parties agree to reopen negotiations on the tool allowance. The scope of negotiations will include review of the appropriate tools needed for the impacted classifications, the list of required tools, the amount of the tool allowance, and the method of reimbursement for the tool allowance.

New Journeymen Mechanics and Apprentice Mechanics with less than 12 months' service prior to May 1st of each calendar year shall receive a portion of the above allowance pro- rated to the number of full months employed with the Company.

  • Boot Allowance The District will pay $180 toward the purchase and/or repair of work boots for District Employees listed in the District’s Work Apparel Policy and/or at the discretion of the employee’s department manager. Payment will be made by the first full paycheck of the employee’s date of hire and annually thereafter. Boots must meet applicable OSHA standards for the duties assigned.

  • Retirement Allowance Prior to issuing notice of layoff pursuant to article 9.08(a)(ii) in any classification(s), the Hospital will offer early-retirement allowance to a sufficient number of employees eligible for early retirement under HOOPP within the classification(s) in order of seniority, to the extent that the maximum number of employees within a classification who elect early retirement is equivalent to the number of employees within the classification(s) who would otherwise receive notice of layoff under article 9.08(a)(ii). An employee who elects an early retirement option shall receive, following completion of the last day of work, a retirement allowance of two (2) weeks' salary for each year of service, plus a prorated amount for any additional partial year of service, to a maximum ceiling of fifty-two (52) weeks' salary.
