Today’s Procedures Sample Clauses

Today’s Procedures. There are several tools involved in the support for developing the CS_UC system. Perhaps the most interesting current situation is that some phases of the development are not covered by tools with their main domain in the respective phase – such as Microsoft Word, used to collect requirements. This is one aspect leads to several problems as identified in the P&B form (see section 5.3.2). For example, the impact on effectiveness is qualified as: “Difficult to relate / manual relation to the other phases of the project(s), especially to V&V activities. Errors and omission to develop detailed and subsystem requirements.” Another issue is the traceability of artifacts from inception (specifications) to implementation and further in the lifecycle phases. One of the reasons resides in the absence of connectivity between the used tools. There is no data produced by one tool that can be “somehow” inspected and analyzed by another tool, up or down the process flow. Hence, interpretations of data produced by (the users of) one tool at a different tool console (by another user) may be unclear, tedious and error prone. As a consequence, a long time may be required to balance all the viewpoints, for a correct interpretation and continuation of the development. Given the large number of (sub-)components of the CA_UC (which is a relatively small artifact in itself), this aspect has a large impact on the development time.
