Common use of Tobacco Surcharges Clause in Contracts

Tobacco Surcharges. Employees hired on or after January 1, 2019 who participate in the City’s medical insurance program and use tobacco will be charged a twenty-five dollar ($25.00) per month surcharge effective with the pay period that includes January 1, 2019. Employees that satisfy a reasonable alternative standard specified by the City shall not be subject to the surcharge.
