Common use of Time Off in Lieu Clause in Contracts

Time Off in Lieu. 65.1 Employees may take time off in lieu of overtime worked subject to V/Line’s consent and at times mutually agreed, provided that such time off is taken on the basis of one hour off for each hour of overtime worked during ordinary time hours, paid for at ordinary time rates.

Time Off in Lieu. 65.1 Employees 59.1 An Employee may elect, with the consent of the Company, to take time off in lieu of payment of overtime worked subject to V/Line’s consent and at a time or times mutually agreed, provided agreed with the Company. Any time taken off in lieu will be during ordinary hours; that such time off is taken on the basis of one an hour off for each hour of overtime worked during ordinary worked. Where the Employee has not taken time hoursoff within four weeks, the Employee will be paid for such time at ordinary time ratesthe rates specified in Clause 35.

Time Off in Lieu. 65.1 Employees In lieu of receiving payment for overtime worked in accordance with this clause, employees may choose, with the consent of the employer, to take time off in lieu off, for a period of overtime time equivalent to 1.5 times the amount of time worked subject to V/Line’s consent for part or all of work performed outside ordinary hours, and at times mutually agreed, provided that such time off is taken on the basis of one hour off for each hour of overtime worked during ordinary time hours, paid for at ordinary time ratesmay by agreement be added to an employee’s annual leave entitlements.
