Common use of Time Off for Union Activities Clause in Contracts

Time Off for Union Activities. ‌ Local Union representatives shall be allowed time off without pay for legitimate Union business such as Union meetings, State or International conventions, workshops, and other training meetings, provided such representative(s) shall give reasonable notice to her/his Department Manager of such absence. The employee may utilize any accumulated time (holiday, personal, vacation days) in lieu of taking such without pay.

Time Off for Union Activities. ‌ Two (2) Local Union representatives Representatives shall be allowed time off without pay up to one (1) week for legitimate Union UNION business such as Union UNION meetings, State state or International international conventions, workshops, and other training meetings, provided such representative(s) shall representatives give reasonable prior notice to herhis/his Department Manager her supervisor of such absenceabsence and shall be allowed such time off if it does not substantially interfere with the operating needs of the VILLAGE. Time Off for Union Activities. ‌ No more than (2) Local Union representatives shall be allowed time off without pay per calendar year with pay, not to exceed seven (7) days each per year, for legitimate Union business such as Union meetings, State or area wide Union committee meetings, Certified Xxxxxxx Training, State or International conventions, workshops, and other training meetings, provided such representative(s) representative shall give reasonable notice to herhis/his Department Manager her supervisor of such absence. The employee may utilize any accumulated time (holiday, personal, vacation days) in lieu of taking such without pay.

Such time off shall not be detrimental in any way to the Employee's record.
