Common use of Third Party Labour Disputes Clause in Contracts

Third Party Labour Disputes. No Loss of Pay In the event of picketing by a union other than the Association: Faculty members who are scheduled to teach on site, and who do not cross a picket line, will have their pay deducted for the scheduled time. Faculty members who are scheduled to teach at an off site location during a third party labour dispute, and who fulfill that teaching obligation, will suffer no loss of pay. Faculty members who are scheduled to work off site (other than teaching) during the third party labour dispute, and who fulfill that obligation will be paid – provided they forward a memo to their Responsible Administrator stating they were doing college work off site during the dispute. This memo will indicate the dates during which they were performing such work. Where faculty members have provided such written notification to their Responsible Administrator, no further notification will be required.
