Thickness Measurements. The measurement of insulation thickness and over sheath thickness shall be made on samples taken not less than 150mm from the ends of factory length. These measurements shall be taken as required by the purchaser, or if not so required on random samples taken by the manufacturer.

Thickness Measurements. Verification of the installed tube thickness shall be determined by measuring the thickness of the available samples using a calibrated measuring device. A minimum of four (4) readings shall be taken from each sample (minus the coating thickness provided by the bidder) and the mean value of all readings shall be used. The sample thickness shall be acceptable if it meets or exceeds 90% of the design minimum wall thickness specified. Penalties assessed to the contractor for failing to obtain 90% of the design thickness are described in Part I, subsection 4.5.

  • Temperature Measurement Temperature will be measured by the nearest automatic Melbourne Bureau of Meteorology Monitoring Station for example (but not limited to): Melbourne, Moorabbin, Dunns Hill, Melbourne Airport, Frankston, and Point Xxxxxx.
