Common use of The Union Clause in Contracts

The Union. As the Plan sponsor, the Union is responsible to negotiate the contribution rates under the Collective Agreement and to select the Insurance Carrier. From time to time the Union will survey the Insurance Carriers in the marketplace to ensure that the rates are very competitive and to secure the best deal possible for the Pension Plan Members at NO COST to the Plan Members.

From time to time the Union will survey the Insurance Carriers Administrative Agent in the marketplace to ensure that the rates are very competitive and to secure the best deal possible for the Pension Plan Members at NO COST to the Plan Members. THE COMPANY: The Company is only responsible for remitting the contribution rates and providing the pertinent information required to administer the Pension Plan as specified under article 16.02(b).
