A Virtual Computer Lab Initially we developed a Virtual Computer Lab (VCL) [18] as a stand-alone environment, composed of two nested software virtualisation layers, that each student can install on his/her computer. The software components to build the VCL are freeware or open source, and are distributed to students through a DVD or the university’s cloud storage.
