Thanksgiving Break. When the Board approved calendar calls for no student or teacher attendance on the day before Thanksgiving and the teaching staff works extended days for two evening parent teacher conferences, the 12-month school building employees must work using one of the options listed below for those days. • Work extended hours as the teachers on the extended days for two evening parent teacher conferences in exchange for the day off on the day before Thanksgiving. If this option is chosen, the employee must waive any claim to overtime pay unless the work calendar for the 12-month employee states the day before Thanksgiving is an unpaid day off. • Work regular hours on the extended days for two evening parent teacher conferences and on the day before Thanksgiving. • Work regular hours on the extended days for two evening parent teacher conferences and use a vacation day to take off on the day before Thanksgiving. All other 12-month employees, i.e., CEC, will work regular work hours on the extended days for two evening parent teacher conferences and the day before Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Break. NOVEMBER 23 - NOVEMBER 24, 2023 Housing: All residence halls remain open. There is no extra charge for residents staying in University housing during the Thanksgiving Break. Dining: Alternate dining arrangements will be available over Thanksgiving Break at an additional cost. WINTER BREAK: 8:00 PM ON DECEMBER 21, 2023 – 8:00 AM ON JANUARY 15, 2024 Housing: Student Life Center is closed during Winter Break. Residents interested in staying over Winter Break are required to submit a separate Winter Break Housing Application and will be billed for the number of nights stayed (must be consecutive nights). Residents who remain in their rooms over the winter break period will be charged a flat rate of $30 per night in the residence halls. Residents who do not apply for Winter Break Housing will be required to turn in their fob prior to departing for Winter Break. If a resident is found to be staying without pre- registering or fails to turn in their fob, the resident will be charged for the entire break period regardless of how many nights they stay in their room.
