Terminal Illness. Contractor shall notify Administrator by written report hand delivered, faxed, sent via encrypted email, within forty-eight (48) hours of becoming aware of the death due to terminal illness of any person served pursuant to this Contract.

An Insured Person shall be regarded as terminally ill only if he/ she is diagnosed as suffering from a condition which, in the opinion of two appropriate independent Medical Practitioners, is highly likely to lead to death within 12 months from the date of the diagnosis and the Insured Person is not receiving any active treatment for the terminal illness, other than that of the pain relief. The terminal illness must be diagnosed and confirmed by Medical Practitioners registered with the Indian Medical Association and approved by Us. We will not cover terminal illness due to, arising from or attributable to AIDS under this Section.
