Term of Leave. 15.13.2.1 Staff Development Leave may be granted for not more than 240 hours for a Unit Member employed one hundred (100) percent (pro-rata for employment of less than one hundred (100) percent).
Term of Leave. An employee will be permitted up to a maximum of ten (10) months of unpaid leave for child rearing pursuant to this Article.
Term of Leave. Maternity leave shall be granted only for medical reasons arising out of and in the course of a pregnancy, the subsequent childbirth, or other related medical conditions, as provided below:
Term of Leave. An employee shall receive maternity and parental leave in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. Requests for maternity / parental / adoption leave shall be made in writing at least two (2) weeks in advance of the leave. The written request shall indicate the proposed length of maternity and parental/adoption leave (if applicable). The request shall include a doctor’s certificate indicating the expected delivery date and particulars about the leave.
Term of Leave. Leave must begin no earlier than the birth or adoption of the child and end no later than fifty-two (52) weeks following the birth or adoption of the child. Employees taking maternity leave of absence and requesting parental leave must commence the parental leave immediately on the expiration of the maternity leave, unless the Employer and employee agree otherwise.
Term of Leave. Family and Medical Leave is granted to an eligible employee for up to twelve (12) weeks per school year (July 1 – June 30). Spouses employed by the District are jointly entitled to a combined total of twelve (12) weeks of Family and Medical Leave.
Term of Leave. Maternity leave is for a term of up to seventeen (17) weeks with the first two (2) weeks paid as sick leave for employees not participating in Supplementary Unemployment Benefit (SUB) plan. For employees participating in the SUB plan, there are two (2) weeks of unpaid time in accordance with the Employment Insurance Act (1996, c.23, E-5.6 as amended). Leave may commence at the end of the seventh month of pregnancy. Following maternity leave, the employee may take unpaid leave of up to thirty-seven (37) weeks as parental leave.
Term of Leave. A temporary promotion to an acting Supervisory position shall have a duration of not more than ninety (90) calendar days in each calendar year.
Term of Leave. Sabbatical leaves may be for one semester, the equivalent of one semester taken over the course of an academic year, or for two semesters under the conditions stated in Board Policy. Check only the semester(s) you propose to be on sabbatical leave. Be sure to indicate the calendar year in which the semester(s) fall(s).
Term of Leave. Employees will receive pay for absences that qualify as sick leave, up to the total amount of earned, unused sick leave. Pay will be based on the number of hours the employee was scheduled to work on the day of the absence.
