Tenure Status a. A unit member who is on tenure at the time he/ she is granted leave because of personal illness or illness in his/her immediate family shall remain on tenure.
Tenure Status. Administrators shall not be granted tenure in their administrative capacities. Each contract executed between the Board and individual Administrator shall contain a provision which excludes that Administrator from obtaining tenure in any administrative position.

In the event a member of the unit receives unemployment compensation benefits between two (2) school years, (i.e., summer break) and is recalled to employment prior to the beginning of the school year, the amount received after recall in unemployment benefits will be deducted from the teacher’s salary for the successor year.

If any Administrator has attained tenure status, his/her contract of employment may be terminated if his/her position is eliminated, but only if there is no other position available in the school system for which the Administrator is certified and qualified. Therefore, Administrators who have acquired tenure will have first preference for retention in positions for which they are certified and qualified. This shall include first preference with regard to positions that are held by teachers, in addition to positions which are open and available.
Tenure Status. Only tenured teachers will be approved for job-sharing. The decision of the Board to grant, refuse or modify a request to create a job-sharing position shall be final and shall not be subject to the grievance procedure.
