Common use of Temporary Vacancy Clause in Contracts

Temporary Vacancy. A temporary vacancy occurs: When a career employee has vacated their position for reasons in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement but continues to have proprietary rights to the vacant career position.

Temporary Vacancy. A temporary vacancy occurs: When an incumbent has vacated either a career employee has vacated their complement position or a term position, subject to Article 16.15 below, for reasons in accordance with a specified period of time and the provisions of this Agreement but continues to have incumbent retains proprietary rights to the vacant career position.

Temporary Vacancy. The parties agree that promotion and advancement opportunities be made available to bargaining unit members before awarding opportunities to applicants from outside the bargaining unit. The parties also agree that subject to operational requirements, the use of where practical, to enhance promotion and advancement opportunities for bargaining unit members, shall be encouraged.

Temporary Vacancy. 1. A temporary vacancy occurs: When is a career vacancy resulting from a temporary leave of absence of an employee, or which exists during the period of time that an employee who has vacated their bid into another position for reasons is completing his/her twenty (20) day trial period in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement but continues to have proprietary rights to the vacant career positionnew position as set forth within Section 3 A 1 above.
