Temporary Duty Assignments. During temporary duty assignments, i.e., assignments to other positions for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days, the employee’s Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment and Long Term Disability Insurance shall be based upon the employee’s regular salary and not the salary earned during the temporary duty assignment.
Temporary Duty Assignments. A. When the Employer changes the duty assignment of an employee from an 84-hour assignment to a 42-hour assignment, or vice versa, the Employer, whenever feasible, will solicit volunteers from among the group of potentially affected employees and select the senior employee from among the qualified volunteers in the job class. If there are no qualified volunteers, the Employer shall select the least senior qualified employee. For purposes of this section, seniority is construed as Bargaining Unit seniority.
Temporary Duty Assignments. 22.5(a) Employees shall first be selected by the Company for temporary assignments away from Fort Xxxxxx by senior qualified volunteers from the classification/overtime project and field supporting the mission. When similar overtime projects exist on different shifts, the overtime projects will be combined. Employees occupying bonus pay jobs will be considered if the bonus pay job assignment is a valid requirement of the mission. If the bonus pay job is not a valid requirement of the mission, Section 22.5(a)(6) will apply. Employees who have scheduled one (1) full week or more vacation which begins during the first four (4) weeks of temporary assignment are ineligible for the assignment. However, in the absence of qualified volunteers, these employees may volunteer for the assignment provided their vacation can be rescheduled and taken during the current vacation year. Employees on temporary assignment cannot take any vacation days while on assignment without the prior consent of the Company designated individual in charge of the temporary assignment. Employees who are absent other than TDY will also be considered for the assignment provided they are scheduled to return to work at Fort Xxxxxx on the workday prior to the calendar day of scheduled departure. If an employee accepts or is assigned to a TDY mission, he will not be polled nor assigned for a subsequent TDY mission until the original mission is either completed, canceled or delayed in accordance with Section 22.5(a)(7). For the purpose of this section, workdays are defined as Monday through Friday.
Temporary Duty Assignments. These procedures will be followed when temporary duty assignments (synonymously called TDYs or TDAs) outside of the affected employee(s) division are made. These provisions shall not apply to training activities, currently covered under separate agreement.

Temporary Duty Assignments. The Police Chief or his designee may, at his discretion, offer or assign temporary work with a physician's approval to an employee if the employee is qualified to perform such work and if the employee is unable to perform regular responsibilities because of illness, injury or disability, provided there is a reasonable expectation the employee will be able to resume full duties and responsibilities within six (6) months. This Article does not obligate the City to create new positions.

Temporary Duty Assignments. Correctional Deputies who are temporarily assigned as Correctional Sergeants and are then reclassified/promoted as a Correctional Sergeant, with no break in status as a Correctional Sergeant, shall receive credit for up to one hundred twenty (120) days of their temporary duty status for purposes of meeting their merit step increase eligibility, but not for purposes of meeting their probationary periods.

Prior to a temporary non-training duty assignment not inherent to an employee’s normal position and duties requiring travel and per diem, qualified volunteers shall be solicited. These assignments shall be made in a fair and equitable manner based on seniority to the extent possible among volunteers determined to be qualified by the Agency. Seniority shall be based on Aviation Safety (AVS) seniority unless the Parties agree otherwise at the local level.
