Common use of Temporary Assignment Clause in Contracts

Temporary Assignment. A staff member assigned by the University for twenty (20) working days or more to perform all, or the principal duties, of a position with a higher Ceiling shall receive a salary adjustment in accordance with article 21.07. Such acting pay is not payable to a staff member whose position requires the staff member to perform periodically the principal duties of the higher position. A staff member’s salary shall not be reduced as a result of temporary assignment by the University to a position with a lower ceiling.
