Teaching, Training and Research. In accordance with Section 10(m) of the Health Services Xxx 0000, one function of the LHD is ‘to undertake research and development relevant to the provision of health services’. Teaching and training functions are undertaken in the context of the NSW Health Professionals Workforce Plan 2012-2022 and the workforce development requirements of the NSW Health Corporate Governance and Accountability Compendium. Schedule C includes details of funding relating to teaching, training and research. The National Health Reform Agreement requires the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority to provide advice to Ministers on the feasibility of transitioning Teaching, Training and Research to activity-based funding by no later than 2018. Teaching and Training To be informed by the implementation of relevant strategies in the NSW Health Professionals Workforce Plan 2012-2022 and the work program of the Health Education and Training Institute, including the agreed response to the Medical Portfolio Programs Review: Equipping NSW Doctors for Patient Centred Care: Review of Health Education and Training Institute Medical Portfolio Programs. Grow and support a skilled, competent and capable workforce:  Implement a District/Network Education and Training Plan incorporating HETI Online modules and varied learning modalities which include face to face and blended learning courses.  Ensure effective information and communication technology infrastructure that adequately supports online and blended education and training across the District/Network.  Work in partnership with HETI to ensure the District-HETI Operational Model is delivering District nominated education and training priorities.  Work in partnership with HETI to support the development of interprofessional learning activities.  Ensure staff have learning plans within the Performance Development and Review process and are encouraged to access learning resources from HETI Online.  Meet the HETI Workforce Distribution Formula for the number of District/Network intern positions in line with planned growth in medical graduates, and the NSW Government’s COAG commitment.  Monitor expenditure and take-up of Training, Education and Study Leave across specialties and facilities.  Ensure support for the provision of training and education for allied health professionals.  Meet the NSW Ministry of Health reporting requirements for education and training programs for professional entry, for clinical, clinical support, admin...

Teaching, Training and Research. The IHPA developed the Australian Teaching and Training Classification (ATTC) as a national classification for teaching and training activities which occur in public hospital service. IHPA has determined that for 2020–21, the efficient cost of Teaching, training and Research (TT&R) will be determined in consultation with the state with reference to the efficient cost of in-scope expenditure identified as TT&R.
Teaching, Training and Research. A47. Payments for 2014-­‐15, 2015-­‐16 and 2016-­‐17 will consist of the previous year’s payment plus 45 per cent of the growth in the efficient cost of providing the relevant function calculated in accordance with clause A4. A48. Payments for 2017-­‐18 and later years will consist of the previous year’s payment plus 50 per cent of the growth in the efficient cost of providing the relevant function, calculated in accordance with clause A4.
Teaching, Training and Research. The HHS will provide the teaching, training and research programs for which funding is identified within schedule 2 of this service agreement and as described below. Four principles underpin the provision of teaching (generally referred to as clinical education and training) and research within and across Hospital and Health Services: ▪ Sustainability - Clinical education and training and research programs are maintained and support investment in pre-entry clinical education and assist the development of a sustainable workforce. ▪ Consistency – Clinical education and training of clinicians is managed in a consistent manner across Hospital and Health Services to support transferability and flexibility. ▪ Efficiency – Clinical education and training and research programs are managed in a way that promotes the efficient use of available resources within and across Hospital and Health Services. ▪ Collaboration - Hospital and Health Services work together to promote appropriate clinical workforce distribution and meet community needs. Clinical Education and Training Hospital and Health Services will continue to: ▪ provide placements for: − medical students − nursing students − pre-entry clinical placement for allied health students − interns − rural generalist trainees − vocational medical trainees − first year nurses and midwives − oral health students ▪ participate in vocational medical rotational training schemes and facilitation of the movement of vocational trainees between Hospital and Health Services. ▪ implement agreed projects to increase clinical training capacity in line with the Clinical Training Funding Program Agreement between Queensland Health and and HWA project CTF10-179-01 ▪ provide clinical area placements for physiotherapy pre-entry students from additional funding provided through the University Heads of Agreement ▪ provide clinical area placements for dietetics pre-entry students from additional funding provided through relevant agreements with Universities In addition, the Health Practitioner (Queensland Health) Certified Agreement (No 2) 2011 (the HP agreement) requires Hospital and Health Services to: ▪ continue to support development of allied health research capacity through continued implementation and retention of health practitioner research positions provided through the HP agreement ; and ▪ continue to implement the models of care projects that are trialling advanced/extended scope of practice roles, use of support staff and int...

  • TEACHERS AND RESEARCHERS 1. An individual who is a resident of a Contracting State immediately before making a visit to the other Contracting State, and who, at the invitation of any university, college, school or other similar educational institution, visits that other State for a period not exceeding two years solely for the purpose of teaching or research or both at such educational institution shall be exempt from tax in that other State on any remuneration for such teaching or research.

  • Team Teaching Unit members participating in team teaching assignments will receive formula hour credit in proportion to the percentage of in-class involvement. When team-taught class sizes exceed the normal, the formula conditions specified in Section 4.3.3 shall apply.

  • Training and Orientation (a) No employee shall be required to work on any job or operate any piece of equipment until he/she has received proper training and instruction.

  • Training and Technical Assistance COALITION will notify PROVIDER of the availability of training, technical assistance, and other targeted assistance in support of the provision of quality VPK services. COALITION will offer technical assistance for providers on probation. The technical assistance will be designed to facilitate the development and implementation of an improvement plan. The technical assistance will be offered in a manner and schedule prescribed by the COALITION or school district.

  • Training and Promotion a. The contractor will assist in locating, qualifying, and increasing the skills of minorities and women who are applicants for employment or current employees. Such efforts should be aimed at developing full journey level status employees in the type of trade or job classification involved.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "C", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • Training and Professional Development C. Maintain written program procedures covering these six (6) core activities. All procedures shall be consistent with the requirements of this Contract.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training The state and the PBA recognize the importance of supervisor training programs to develop management skills in our law enforcement supervisors. The state will make a reasonable effort to continue existing training programs in law enforcement techniques and to develop new programs in performance review techniques, supervisory skills, and managerial techniques.

  • TEACHING AND LEARNING This component captures institutional strengths in program delivery methods that expand learning options for students, and improve their learning experience and career preparedness. This may include, but is not limited to, experiential learning, online learning, entrepreneurial learning, work integrated learning, and international exchange opportunities.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.
