Teachers on Special Assignment. Employees who are in the following categories are considered to be Teachers on Special Assignment (TOSA): Professional Development specialists, program specialists, consulting teachers, etc.
Teachers on Special Assignment. Teachers who move to a Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA) position (e.g. Professional Development specialist, program specialist, etc.) will have the option of returning to their previous position and/or building immediately after completing their first year as a TOSA. Their previous building/program seniority will be reinstated. After being in the assignment for more than one (1) year, TOSAs who wish to be reassigned may place their name on the transfer list as outlined in Section 23.8. TOSAs who are hired directly into these positions who wish to change assignments may utilize the transfer process as identified in Section 23.8. At the conclusion of any school year the District may reassign TOSAs to a position in their area of certification. TOSAs will accrue program seniority for the duration of their assignment.
Teachers on Special Assignment. 8.1 The Formal Evaluation for a teacher on a part-time special assignment shall be based only on classroom teaching.
Teachers on Special Assignment. Seniority for teachers on special Assignment (TOSA) is outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding attached to this Agreement.
Teachers on Special Assignment. All job announcements classified as “Teacher on Special Assignment” will include and highlight in bold letters a warning clause: Teachers seeking appointment to a special assignment position will not be guaranteed return to their former position should their assignment last more than one school year.
Teachers on Special Assignment. (TOSA) may exchange up to three (3) days during the regular work year for days worked beyond their regular work year. These days shall be mutually agreed upon with their affected supervisor(s).
Teachers on Special Assignment. A certificated, non-management bargaining unit member working on a special project within the District. The project location may be at a school site or the District Office.
Teachers on Special Assignment p. All teachers on Leaves of Absence from the unit positions included above.
Teachers on Special Assignment. It is agreed that at times it may be in the best interests of teaching and learning to employ certificated staff in non-teaching positions. Such positions shall be entitled Teachers on Special Assignment (TOSA’s). Such positions shall be governed by provisions applicable to certificated employees in the Sultan School District. The district anticipates the continued use of TOSA positions to enhance the conditions supporting teaching and learning. The following two categories of TOSA will be recognized within the district. The number and specific use may vary from year to year as determined by need and fiscal ability.
Teachers on Special Assignment. 1. The decision regarding whether to offer TOSA positions is within the discretion of the District. The assignment to a TOSA position shall be year-to-year, but shall be reoffered to all qualified bargaining unit members at least every three years.
