TEACHER WORK YEAR. 1. The teacher work year shall contain a maximum consist of one hundred eighty- five (185) 183 days, two with 177 of which those days being for instruction and five days shall be set aside for use as professional staff development days. The remaining day shall be designated as a teacher work day which must be scheduled on the day prior to the student start date. No meetings or professional development will be scheduled on the designated teacher work day. For the school year 2010-2011, the teacher work year shall be scheduled between reduced from 183 days to a total of 182 work days. Five of those days shall be for the dates purpose of September 1 and June 30professional development.
