TEACHER RECRUITMENT. A. The object of teacher recruitment is to obtain the highest qualified staff consistent with the resources of the District. The Association will use its best efforts to promote the reputation of the District at all times. The Association may make recommendations for new methods of recruitment or suggestions to aid in the recruitment process. Teachers shall, upon the request of the Board or its authorized representatives, assist in the recruitment process and the evaluation of candidates for positions within the unit represented by the Association.

TEACHER RECRUITMENT. All professional classroom openings shall be filled by persons certified in the area in which they will be teaching. Whenever a classroom vacancy arises, the superintendent shall promptly notify the president of the Association. A bargaining unit member may file an application for a position at any time whether a vacancy exists or not, and such application shall be kept on file and shall constitute an application at any time a vacancy occurs. Members currently employed by the District will be given priority when teaching vacancies for which they are certified occur within the District.
TEACHER RECRUITMENT. This stipend is available to the designated CTE teachers who have an active, co-curricular California Department of Education (CDE) recognized CTSO.

TEACHER RECRUITMENT. In the event the School District has been unable to recruit and/or hire a suf- ficient number of certified teachers to fill existing vacancies in areas of critical need through the normal hiring, posting and transfer processes by June 1, the School District may enter into contracts with outside providers to provide services which would otherwise be filled by bargaining unit members. Except in circum- stances of unanticipated vacancies, the Federation shall be provided with no less than three (3) months’ prior written notice of any decision to utilize any outside providers. The School District shall use its best efforts to fill such vacancies through the normal hiring, transfer and job posting processes. The School District will continue its effort to recruit in shortage areas. Ordinarily an outside provider may be utilized to fill a vacancy in any location for two (2) school years. The Federation-District Committee shall meet in Febru- ary 2002 and in February of each subsequent year to evaluate whether a vacancy(ies) in critical needs areas can be addressed effectively by means other than renewal of a contract(s) with an outside provider(s). The Federation-District Committee will also consider ways to fill chronic vacancies permanently. Absent a concrete and reasonable basis for concluding that the vacancy(ies) can be filled for the following school year through the normal recruitment, hiring, transfer and job posting processes, the School District may contract for up to an additional two (2) years. A contract renewal shall be for only one (1) year if there is a con- crete and reasonable basis to conclude that the vacancy(ies) can be filled through normal processes in less than two (2) years. Teachers assigned by the School District pursuant to this agreement shall be considered as employees of the outside provider(s), shall not be considered as members of the school faculty or staff, and shall not be available for any other school duties.

  • Recruitment When advertising for employees, the contractor will include in all advertisements for employees the notation: "An Equal Opportunity Employer." All such advertisements will be placed in publications having a large circulation among minorities and women in the area from which the project work force would normally be derived.

  • Periodic Recruitment The State reserves the right to add new Contractors during the term of the Centralized Contract via periodic recruitment. OGS will formally announce when the periodic recruitment Solicitation is issued. It is at the discretion of OGS when a future periodic recruitment shall commence. A periodic recruitment will be publicly announced through all standard means including, but not limited to: the NYS Contract Reporter; and OGS website. All OGS Centralized Contracts awarded under the Periodic Recruitment will commence upon OGS approval. All Contracts will co-terminate on the then current end date of the Centralized Contract or at the end of any approved extension or renewal period.

  • New Teacher Orientation The Association shall have the opportunity to participate in the opening in-service day including speakers for the sole purpose of greeting new faculty members and informing them of the opportunities available to them through joining their professional association.

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training The state and the PBA recognize the importance of supervisor training programs to develop management skills in our law enforcement supervisors. The state will make a reasonable effort to continue existing training programs in law enforcement techniques and to develop new programs in performance review techniques, supervisory skills, and managerial techniques.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Employee Orientation Each and every person working for a contractor, including sub- contractors, will be given an orientation to familiarize them with the site safety program. Unless otherwise specified, each sub-contractor is responsible for the orientation of their workers.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "C", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.

  • Training and Promotion a. The contractor will assist in locating, qualifying, and increasing the skills of minorities and women who are applicants for employment or current employees. Such efforts should be aimed at developing full journey level status employees in the type of trade or job classification involved.
