TEACHER EVALUATION PROCEDURE. Licking Valley’s evaluation system will be based upon the ODE-approved model developed by Xxxxxxxxx Xxxxxxxxx. Teacher performance shall count as 50% and student growth measures shall count as 50% of each teacher’s evaluation. All teachers will be evaluated in accordance with the evaluation instruments and procedures agreed to by the evaluation committee which will be incorporated into this Agreement as Appendix B. Upon ratification of the tentative agreement, the evaluation committee will begin meeting to ensure that all aspects of the new evaluation system align with the mandates of OTES. Any recommendations to alter contract language must be ratified by the Board and the Association. The evaluation committee shall consist of six (6) members appointed by the Superintendent and six (6) members appointed by the Association President. The evaluations committee will periodically review the evaluation instrument and procedures and make recommendations to the Board for modifications.

TEACHER EVALUATION PROCEDURE. Not later than November 1, 2011, there shall be created an Evaluation Committee which will be comprised of three (3) administrative members selected by the Superintendent and three (3) teacher members selected by the REA President. The Evaluation Committee shall research and create an evaluation instrument and update evaluation criteria in Article VI. The evaluation procedure and criteria will comply with the requirements of Ohio law. The Committee shall complete its work no later than May 1, 2013. By May 15, 2013, the parties shall hold respective ratification meetings for the purpose of accepting or rejecting the Committee’s evaluation instrument and updated Article VI. Upon the acceptance by both parties, the Committee’s evaluation instrument shall replace the current Article VI (C) –
TEACHER EVALUATION PROCEDURE. The parties agree to adopt the Rhode Island Innovation Evaluation & Support System for use in the Central Falls School District commencing in the 2012-2013 school year The primary purpose for the evaluation of teachers shall be constructively to indicate how teachers can improve their lessons to become more effective teachers and to evaluate their competencies and professional techniques. Observations of professional practice will not begin until the last full week in September and shall be scheduled to be completed by May 1st ; but in no case shall occur later than May 15th. Teachers of second semester courses will not be scheduled for formal or informal observations for at least fifteen (15) school days after the second semester begins. All evaluation conferences shall be completed before the last day of school. Evaluators may observe individually or in pairs if agreed to by the teacher. The number of evaluators engaging in an observation shall be governed by the standards established in the Rhode Island Innovation Evaluation & Support System. All observations will be performed by individuals who meet the requisite qualifications and training as set forth in the Rhode Island Innovation Evaluation & Support System. The parties mutually agree that there is a value to having consistency of observer(s) across observations and that observations shall be scheduled accordingly whenever possible. The evaluator will contact the teacher to schedule a pre-observation conference and formal observation at a mutually agreed upon time. The teacher will submit his/her lesson plan to the evaluator at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the pre-observation conference. The pre-observation conference will be held at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled observation. The evaluator will provide the teacher with the aligned evidence collected during the formal observation within ten (10) school days following the formal observation. In no case will the evidence be electronically sent to the teacher prior to the end of the formal observation. The teacher will submit his/her lesson reflection within ten (10) school days of receiving the evidence. The formal evaluation post-conference will be held at a mutually agreed upon time and to the greatest extent possible no later than ten (10) school days following the submission of the teacher’s lesson reflection. TEACHER EVALUATION PROCEDURE. The Board of Education is responsible for a standards˗based teacher evaluation policy (“the Policy”) which conforms to the framework for evaluations of teachers as approved by the State Board of Education and aligns with the “Standards for the Teaching Profession” as set forth in O.R.C. 3319.111, 3319.112 and 3319.58. The Policy is intended to provide an evaluation model that is research˗based, transparent, fair, and adaptable to the needs of the District. The Board believes in the importance of ongoing assessment and meaningful feedback as a powerful vehicle to support improved teaching performance and student growth, as well as promotion and retention decisions for teachers. The Policy shall be implemented as set forth herein and shall be included in the collective bargaining agreement with the Coshocton County Career Center Employees Education Association (CCCCEEA), and in all extensions and renewals thereof. The Policy has been developed in consultation with teachers employed by the Board. Given the dynamic nature of the mandated teacher evaluation process, the Board authorizes the Superintendent to establish and maintain an ongoing Evaluation Policy committee, with continuing participation by District teachers represented by the CCCCEEA, and for the express purpose of recommending necessary changes to the Board and Association for the appropriate revision of the Policy. The Evaluation Policy committee shall be comprised of members appointed by the Superintendent and President of the CCCCEEA. Members shall be appointed in equal numbers. Definitions:
