TEACHER DUTY DAY. The teacher duty day shall consist of a seven hour and 45 minute (7:45) block of time. The building principal shall set the beginning and ending times for the school day. The teacher duty day shall be extended on occasion for a total of seven (7) hours per school year. At least two calendar weeks notice will be given prior to extending the school day. Extensions may not be made on holidays or weekends. The principal may schedule meetings for professional purposes, student assistance, Professional Learning Communities work, open house, back-to-school night, faculty meetings out side the duty day, or other events shall be counted as part of the seven hour extension.

TEACHER DUTY DAY. A. The length of the teacher workday on student contact days shall be seven and one-half (7 ½) continuous hours, and shall be between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Teachers shall be required to report for duty at a time established by the building principal. However, by mutual agreement between the teacher and the principal, or other responsible supervisor, the duty hours may vary so long as the total duty time of seven (7) hours and thirty (30) consecutive minutes is worked.
TEACHER DUTY DAY. The length of the duty day for all full-time teachers includes duty time of 7.25 hours and a duty free lunch of at least 30 continuous minutes, for a total duty day of seven and three quarters (7.75) hours. It is recognized that teachers are professionals; and therefore, they will meet the obligations of the position, including attendance at parent conferences, parent meetings/staffings, department meetings, faculty meetings, staff training sessions, and such other responsibilities that are reasonably required even when they extend beyond the scheduled duty day. Every effort will be made to schedule these meetings within the duty day.

TEACHER DUTY DAY. Section 1 A teacher’s duty day shall be the equivalent of seven and one half (7-1/2) instructional and non-instructional hours per day in a particular school. Said workday shall include lunch, preparation time, and supervisory duties, i.e. bus duty, etc.
TEACHER DUTY DAY. During the 2013-2014 school year, the length of the duty day for all full-time teachers, including a duty free lunch at least equivalent to the time allowed students, shall not exceed seven and one half hours. Beginning with the 2014-2015 school year, the length of duty day shall be increased by 15 minutes per day. The additional time may be used to increase time for student instruction, teacher collaboration or district directed professional development. The district shall work with the SCEA to consider the implications of the change in the length of the duty day in 2014-2015 and will agree on any language changes required for implementation prior to June 30, 2014. It is recognized that teachers are professionals; and therefore, they will meet the obligations of the position, including attendance at parent conferences, parent meetings/staffings, department meetings, faculty meetings, staff training sessions, and such other responsibilities that are reasonably required even when they extend beyond the scheduled duty day. Every effort will be made to schedule these meetings within the duty day.
TEACHER DUTY DAY. The arrival and departure time of teachers at each attendance facility will be determined by the principal of each attendance facility, taking into consideration the needs of the teachers and such attendance facility utilizing site based decision making. The principal shall have authority to permit teacher diversion from the regular workday for good cause shown. The regular work day for each attendance facility shall be defined as the amount of time per day that teachers shall be required to be present at their assigned building. The principal shall solely determine the system of indicating presence of teachers in the attendance facility, after receiving input from the teachers of the attendance facility, at a faculty meeting. Each building shall determine the number of class periods and teaching periods per day utilizing site-based decision-making. Teachers shall have the right to request that IEP meetings, parent meetings or staff meetings be rescheduled to another time if the meeting goes beyond the time contemplated or anticipated for the meeting.

TEACHER DUTY DAY. The teacher duty day at each building will total eight (8) hours and zero (0) minutes per day including a scheduled thirty (30) minute duty-free lunch. The duty day will commence fifteen (15) minutes before the student start time and will end fifteen (15) minutes after the student end time as stated on the BOE-approved District Calendar for that building. The fifteen (15) minutes before and/or after the start and/or the end of the school day may not be designated as teacher planning time.

  • Duty Day Duty Day shall mean a day included in the university calendar or individual faculty member's appointment on which a faculty member engages in duties as described in this Agreement.

  • Civic Duty Whenever an employee is served with a subpoena by a court of competent jurisdiction which compels his/her presence as a witness during his/her normal working period, unless he/she is a party to the litigation or an expert witness, such employee shall be granted time off with pay in the amount of the difference between the employee's regular earnings and any amount he/she receives for such appearance. This Article is not applicable to appearances for which the employee receives compensation in excess of his/her regular earnings. A court of competent jurisdiction is defined as a court within the County in which the employee resides or if outside the county of residence, the place of appearance must be within 150 miles of the employee's residence.

  • Civic Duty Leave A. Employees summoned for jury duty will be granted a leave of absence with pay for time lost from their regular work schedule while on said jury duty upon presentation of the appropriate summons to the department head by the employee.

  • Civil Duty Leave Leave of absence with pay shall be granted employees to serve on jury duty, as trial witnesses or to exercise other subpoenaed civil duties.

  • Extra Duty Pay A years experience shall mean extra-duty activity. Credit for up to two (2) years.   • Fitness for Duty Examination A. In directing employees to undergo a fitness for duty examination, the Agency will observe applicable rules and regulations.

  • JURY DUTY PAY All employees required to serve on jury duty shall be paid by the School District the difference between their regular pay and jury duty pay. In implementing this section, the School District shall continue to pay the employee the regular rate of pay and the employee shall be obligated upon receipt of the jury duty pay from the governmental agency to immediately remit any witness fees received to the School District less any mileage expenses. Absences under this section shall not be deducted from accumulated leave.
