Teacher Duties. A revised outline of teacher duties has been agreed and is attached at Annex B. This outline should not function as a prescriptive list but as guidance for the development of specific job descriptions in local authorities.
Teacher Duties. SECTION 1. In the event of the absence of either regular or special area teachers, a reasonable effort will be made to obtain a substitute qualified in the subject involved. In lieu of making such effort to obtain a substitute in the event of absence of a teacher in the high school building on Lincoln Avenue, the School Committee may establish a policy not to cover the class of the absent teacher. In the event that the School Committee does so decide not to cover the class of the absent teacher, regular teachers shall not be required to cover the class of an absent teacher.
Teacher Duties. The teacher agrees to perform faithfully all the duties of a teacher in the School District, to follow the curriculum as approved by the Board, and to observe all policies, rules, and regulations of the School District, to attend and participate in the institutes, conferences, teacher meetings and other educational functions that may be provided for the teachers of the School District, to use and accurately keep all registers and forms placed in the teacher's custody by the School District, to make all reports required by the School District and/or the laws of Minnesota and to devote full time and energy to his/her teaching duties. The teacher agrees to acquaint herself/himself with the rules and regulations as set forth in the “Board Policies Manual” and to abide by the same. All present Board policies binding upon teachers shall be included in this manual. Copies of the “Board Policies Manual” shall be available online in the School District Intranet. The supervisory duty system used will be communicated in writing to the teachers in each building by the appropriate building principal.
Teacher Duties. A. Classroom teachers are not required to remain in their assigned classrooms when another teacher is in charge.
Teacher Duties. The parties agree that teachers without homeroom assignments shall continue to perform morning playground and bus duty. The Board agrees to compensatory time for the above duties which extend beyond the defined work day. The Board also agrees that no additional non-teaching duties shall be added to the aforementioned list enumerated above unless it is negotiated and agreed to by both parties.
Teacher Duties. Teachers will continue to perform their current morning bus supervision, playground supervision, detention supervision, Xxxx and other existing duties. All duties will be distributed as evenly and equitably as possible. The principals shall have the right to assign other supervisory duties in an emergency situation. If said emergency situation exceeds five (5) consecutive school days, the principals will meet with representatives of the Association to decide further action.
Teacher Duties. A. The teacher shall be directly responsible to the Superintendent or his/her designee and shall comply with his rules, regulations or written directives. The teacher shall discharge his duties in accordance with the policies and rules and regulations of the Board as stated in the Board Policy Book and the Teachers’ Handbook, subject to the provisions of this Agreement.
