Task Force. A committee formed for a finite task usually of short duration. Includes certificated staff, and may include community members, administrative staff, other district staff, students, ex-officio board members or others. The main purpose of a Task Force is to research one or more specific issues and make a decision or a recommendation to the appropriate person(s). Examples of Task Forces are interview teams, candidate search or hiring committees and the levy committee.
