Target Species Sample Clauses

Target Species. Exhibit 5 – 2021-22 Weed Priority List is the list of target weed species vetted by OC Parks, California State Parks, The Nature Conservancy, Natural Communities Coalition, California Invasive Plant Council and other OC Parks partners. This list is updated annually and shall be provided to Contractor upon each revision. Contractor staff shall notify PM when unfamiliar with a target emergent weed species and identification training shall be provided at no cost to Contractor.

Target Species. This arrangement is concerned with red deer only. Xxx deer may be culled and contractor may shoot foxes if a safe opportunity to do so arises. Standard of Workmanship All deer management activity will be carried out to the highest standards, with due regards to animal welfare, food hygiene, and safety, as per Best Practice Guidelines Only rifles and ammunition that meet all statutory requirements will be used. A valid fire-arms certificate must be held for all fire-arms used. Any wounded animals must be tracked down and dispatched as per Best Practice Guidelines, this to take priority over any other considerations. All controllers have Deer Stalking Certificate 1 as a minimum and will be registered as Fit & competent with SNH. All grallochs are to be disposed off in a discreet manner. Other Species Foxes may be shot should suitable, safe opportunities arise. Any kills will be reported to the farm. Exclusions It is possible to exclude certain days or times for any reasonable purpose determined by the owner. Such days to be made known to contractor in advance. Otherwise, the default position is that contractor access will be unrestricted when required. There will be no shooting on Xmas Day or New Year day, and contractor will respect all land management operations as appropriate.
Target Species. 2.1 Species targeted for restoration include American shad, American eel, striped bass, Atlantic xxxxxxxx, shortnose xxxxxxxx, blueback xxxxxxx, alewife, sea lamprey, and hickory shad.
Target Species. The target species for the Sector are GB cod and xxxxxxx. Atlantic Cod (Gadus morhua) is split into two distinct management units under the NE Multispecies FMP: Gulf of Maine cod and Georges Bank cod. Little interchange occurs between the two (NOAA Technical Memorandum NMFS-NE-124). No changes are proposed in the management regime for Gulf of Maine cod, nor will this stock be accessible to participants in the proposed action. The target species is Georges Bank cod. The Atlantic cod (Figure 1) is distributed in the northwest Atlantic Ocean from Greenland to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. In U.S. waters, densities are highest on Georges Bank and the western Gulf of Maine. It occurs from nearshore areas to depths exceeding 400 m (rarely). The greatest concentrations off the northeast coast of the U.S. are on rough bottoms in waters between 10 and 150 m and at temperatures between 0 and 10oC.” (NOAA Technical Memorandum NMFS-NE-124) Atlantic cod attain ages of 20 years, although most enter fisheries at ages 2-5. They can grow to lengths of 130 cm and weights of 25-35 kg and average 26 cm by the end of their first year. Median age at sexual maturity is 1.7-2.3 years at lengths between 32 and 41 cm (O’Brien et al. 1993). Fecundity is high and a large female may produce between 3 and 9 million eggs. Spawning occurs near bottom during winter and early spring, usually in water temperatures between 5 and 7oC. Eggs are pelagic and drift for 2-3 weeks before hatching. The larvae are also pelagic until they reach 4-6 cm in about 3 months, whence they descend to the bottom. (NOAA Technical Memorandum NMFS-NE-124).
Target Species. By staying within the hard TAC of GB cod allocated to the Sector, approval of the Sector Operations Plan would not compromise groundfish mortality targets of Amendment 13 and FW 42. The Sector prevents approximately 50 dedicated GB cod and xxxxxxx vessels from contributing to overfishing. The Operations Plan calls for full retention of legal sized GB cod. Thus, there will be no regulatory discards of legal sized GB cod associated with the Sector. The full retention clause as well as other stipulations of the Operations Plan such as dealer reporting, would ensure that all cod caught by Sector participants would be landed and counted against the Sector quota in real-time, assuring that the Sector and members of the Sector would not contribute to overfishing of GB cod. The GB Hook Sector will have 37 boats in FY 2006 comprising approximately 10.03% of the GB cod TAC. These 37 boats caught 11,364,693 lbs of GB cod during the qualifying period; 10.03% of the 113,278,842 total lbs of GB cod landed during the qualifying period. 50 vessels represents the maximum number of vessels that will participate in the Section in FY 2006; based upon the impacts of several upcoming management actions in the multispecies fishery (e.g., Framework 42), some vessels may decide to fish under the common pool.

  • Power Factor Design Criteria (Reactive Power A wind generating plant shall maintain a power factor within the range of 0.95 leading to 0.95 lagging, measured at the Point of Interconnection as defined in this LGIA, if the ISO’s System Reliability Impact Study shows that such a requirement is necessary to ensure safety or reliability. The power factor range standards can be met using, for example without limitation, power electronics designed to supply this level of reactive capability (taking into account any limitations due to voltage level, real power output, etc.) or fixed and switched capacitors if agreed to by the Connecting Transmission Owner for the Transmission District to which the wind generating plant will be interconnected, or a combination of the two. The Developer shall not disable power factor equipment while the wind plant is in operation. Wind plants shall also be able to provide sufficient dynamic voltage support in lieu of the power system stabilizer and automatic voltage regulation at the generator excitation system if the System Reliability Impact Study shows this to be required for system safety or reliability.
