Sworn Personnel. The City agrees to reimburse sworn employees for personal property required by the City to be used on duty that is lost or damaged on duty up to $250.00 per claim. The Association shall develop a list of personal property subject to the reimbursement to be approved by the Police Chief. All claims shall be filed in writing, verified by the employee's immediate supervisor, and approved by the Police Chief. Employees shall not be entitled to reimbursement for loss or damage caused by the employee's negligence, malfeasance ormisfeasance.

Sworn Personnel. Each party is providing licensed peace officers under the conditions outlined herein. Wages and benefits for these officers will be the primary responsibility of the officer’s employing agency during the grant period. Wage and benefit reimbursement, to include overtime costs, may be reimbursed through the grant as approved by the Advisory Board. An officer assigned to the Task Force by a party may be removed from the Task Force by the appointing party or through a majority vote of the Advisory Board. The party shall then appoint a suitable replacement for the removed officer. Peace officers assigned to the Task Force shall be equipped by their employment parties with appropriate police credentials and suitable firearms. The employment party will be responsible for providing any POST required training to their officers assigned to the Task Force. The Commander may direct additional, specialized training to be paid through the grant budget.
Sworn Personnel. Shall serve a nine (9) month probationary period performing the duties of the position following the completion of the Police Training Officer Program (PTO) and Academy.
Sworn Personnel. Hired On or After January 2, 1991. Any employee in the job classification of Police Trainee, Police Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Commander, who: • was hired by the City on or after January 2, 1991; • has an accumulated balance of at least one thousand five hundred (1,500) hours of sick leave credits; and • has at least twenty-five (25) years of service at the time of his/her separation from service, or who separated by reason of being ruled disabled and at the time of disability separation has at least twenty (20) years of service and begins drawing a disability pension. Employees entitled to the $30,000 payment shall receive the entire amount during the month of February in the year following the year in which the employee separates his/her employment. Sick Leave requirements will be reduced by 2% for each full year of City service served under the non-represented benefit plan.
Sworn Personnel. In the event that equivalent time off is given to an employee in lieu of overtime pay (“Compensatory Time Off”), the maximum amount of Compensatory Time Off in lieu of overtime pay an employee is permitted to accumulate at any one time shall be one hundred and twenty (120) hours. Employees must be paid for any overtime in excess of one hundred and twenty (120) hours of accumulated Compensatory Time Off. Employees may elect to be paid for up to eighty (80) hours of accumulated Compensatory Time Off in June and for up to another eighty (80) hours in December of each year.
