Supervisory Nurses. Nurses may not hold a position in the bargaining unit if they simultaneously hold a supervisory PeaceHealth position. This provision shall not prevent said nurses from performing fill-in work provided such work does not displace or deny any bargaining unit nurse from work to which they otherwise would have been entitled under the Agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed by the Union and the Employer work performed by Full time nurses will not be assigned to PT nurses for the purposes of eliminating full-time positions. In order for the Union to be able to monitor the extent of work assignment between RNs and RPNs in the Hospital, the Hospital will provide the Union’s Labour Relations Officer and Bargaining Unit President with an annual report on January 31st of each year in an electronic format, by bargaining unit, site and by nursing unit, of the following:

  • Supervisors Supervisors may continue to perform bargaining unit work which is incidental to their jobs. They may also perform bargaining unit work in emergency situations and where such work is necessary to train a covered member. Such work by supervisors may result from but shall not cause any layoffs of covered members.

  • Labour Management Relations Committee 20.01 The parties recognize that a forum for ongoing discussions during the term of the Agreement can promote more harmonious labour relations between them.

Within ten (10) business days from the occurrence of the matter on which a complaint is based, or within ten (10) business days from his/her knowledge of such occurrence, an employee shall file a formal written grievance.   • LABOUR MANAGEMENT RELATIONS 30.01 A Labour/Management Relations Committee shall be appointed, consisting of a maximum of two (2) Shop Stewards from the Union, and a maximum of two (2) representatives from the Co-operative. The full-time Union Representative may also attend these meetings from time to time. The Committee shall meet at the request of either party, for the purpose of discussing matters of mutual concern. Time spent by bargaining unit employees in carrying out the functions of this Committee shall be considered as time worked and shall be paid for by the Co-operative. The Committee shall not have jurisdiction to interpret and/or amend the Collective Agreement.

The committee will not, however, take the place of the grievance procedure or the collective bargaining process.
