Common use of Sunset Clause Clause in Contracts

Sunset Clause. 5.6 It is agreed that written letters of warning and reprimand shall be removed or deemed to be removed from an employee’s personnel file 12 months from the date of issue. Record of suspension (s) shall be removed or deemed to be removed 30 months from the date of issue. In the application of the above language, the time limit provisions will not apply should further discipline be imposed within the above referred time periods. For added clarity, the discipline file will remain fully active in this instance for all progressive discipline purposes. The foregoing will have no effect on the Company’s right to rely on past conduct beyond the Company’s disciplinary rules. Discipline Representation
